I know that purchasing a kitten is a life long decision and I can't choose between 2. I thought I decided but my heart is truly torn. Here are the 2. What do you think?

Both by the same breeder by the way, which is holding both until I decide. To be fair, I am going to finally decide tonight or tomorrow morning. One is female, one is male.

Take them both! They are both adorable. Did you want a male or a female? Which one melts your heart? Which one "calls your name"? You have to go with the one you feel an attraction towards...a bond. Nobody can tell you which one you will adore more, that has to come from your heart.

Well, this is the interesting part, my mind was made up. I became "friends" with the breeder. She sent me a text letting me know she was having people over to look at kittens. I panicked thinking the boy was going to be sold. I put down the deposit on the female. But, when I got that text I instantly dialed her number and called asking if he sold in a panic. :nailbiting: She hadn't sold him yet when I called. The breeder has shared that she likes the personality of the female better. She said the male is a little more independent and the female is more needy or lovable. I wish I could do both but I just can't. I HAVE to pick..

just from what I have read the lighter colors look dirty faster than the darker colors. I have only had my tortie so I cant really speak from experience

well I personally like females because I don't like to see the males intact. I know I could get them fixed but I am always worried they still may spray. also I have allergies to cats that flair up with males. something about the hormones in the males makes me break out in hives and my throat closes. with females my allergies might make me sneeze and have itchy eyes but very rarely do I have problems with female cats. I have even talked to my old vet about it thinking I was crazy but he said it was common actually. I also like the sleeker look of females (although they don't always stay that way) personality wise ever cat is different.

My pink boy stays WAY cleaner than my tux boy, so I wouldn't base a choice on that. And I LOVE my cuddly boys. I have to say, the little mustache on the boy is adorable. Hard choice, but either way you end up with a gorgeous kitty!

They are both too darn cute. The way I am I would get both. If you meet them, that would be nice. I'm always attracted to the ones that need special care, the runt, the ones maybe wouldn't be the first pick. I love to feel needed. What a hard choice.

Yeah if I could I'll take both but if you can only get one you need to go with your heart and take the one that you already see as part of your family.

I texted her and told her the girl and I was fine with my choice and thanked her for all her time and energy. She called me soon after and let me know she thought I should think about it some more. That if I called in such a panic it must mean something. I will continue to think on it. I am a lucky either way, :) Everyone is right when they say they're beautiful. They really are. Thanks everyone.

I would go with the boy, you had paniced first because you thought he's already sold. But I can see why you're struggling because both are adorable! I'm owned by my boys but my mom owns two females and I love them too. The gender doesn't matter. I would go and visit them and the one that comes to you first and stays is the one for you :D

They are both adorable but something about the cream colored one is calling my name! My kitty is light colored and she seems to stay looking pretty clean for the most part so I don't think their color has to do with how dirty they look (maybe for some kitty's is does though) .
When my partner and I were first looking at kittens, I fell in love with a little boy but my partner liked the little girl. After a lot of thinking, we went with the girl and I couldn't be happier!! She is so loving and I literally can't wait to get home everyday so I can see her :)
So even though you initially wanted the boy, if you seem to have a "wandering eye", maybe there's something special about the other little girl ;)
Whoever you end up getting, you will fall in love!

Good evening,
The wondering eye came from the breeder. Lol. She even said she kinda pushed the female on me because her personality is really starting to come out and thought I would love her. The truth is, I would love either one. She is a wonderful breeder and I am hoping to get a second one from her in a year or two. My problem deciding comes from not being able to visit (she lives in Ok and I live in CO) and taking the word of the breeder. I am in love with the boy's face but the female's personality is more what I am looking for per the breeder. So, I am lost. Another thing that is either a rumor or truth I can't decide is do neutered males "spray" or "mark". He will be neutered coming from her house. So, that's a topic for discussion. :) Thanks for your input. I kinda touched base on your response answering everyone's questions.

Hmm I'm not sure about neutered males but I'm sure some other readers will be able to answer that!
It really is a tough decision. I did so much research before deciding on my kitten and it was so hard. I fell in love with ones face but went with the other and you know how it turned out lol
When it's time to bring the kitten home, are you going there to pick her/him up or is the breeder sending them to you? Maybe you can decide on one and if it just so happens that you get there and they are both still available, maybe you can change your mind.
If the breeder is saying the personality of the female sounds closer to what you're looking for, maybe that is your best option. I'm sure the breeder is being honest because she has nothing to lose especially because you will end up definitely taking 1 of them. Personality is a big thing so if it were me, I probably would go with whoever the breeder is saying matches the personality I am looking for.
When will they be ready to go home?

Well the breeder knows their personalities and not to add to your confusion but if your in love with the way the boy looks he will pick up on your feelings and you will bond with him because your so attracted to him. My husband loves my elf cat and they bonded makes me sick because it was my money that purchased him and the additional stuff he needed so bam just like that those two fell in love. So I had to try again that is when I got my girl and she is ALL mine she is a doll, I love the way she smells, her cries, her delicate features, how cuddly she is and not to mention the clothes I can buy for her. Iam going to be getting a cream I always wanted a white he comes end of October. I also have a Lynx 2 yr old female. She is what some call tabby she is stunning her markings make her very photogenic. Your male will be very handsome and no males spray if they are NOT FIXED bcuz they have to mark territory. I have two fur males and one naked and they do not spray. I did have a male fur cat that was fixed spray but he was the exception and it is because he is a Alpha male basically he is kinda a assh**e. He's a out door kitty now and belongs to my neighbor where he can rule the house
