She's gone.

My girl, Lemon, passed away Monday night. She was diagnosed with HCM in April and passed away sometime during the evening, my husband found her Tuesday morning.

She was like another part of me.. We all here love our pets, and some of you may have experienced that every so often one comes along that you have a particularly strong connection to. That was Lemon for me. It's hard to imagine watching a movie without her cuddling under the blanket with me, reading outside without her on my lap, or eating dinner without her constantly trying to steal food off my plate.

Thank you to everyone who provided me with HCM advice. Please, please, please, scan early. My vet detected a murmur when she was young and then convinced me that it was no big deal and nothing to worry about. Things could have been different for me and my baby.

She was my first and only sphynx, and the breed has changed my life. Lemon, I hope you're waiting somewhere for me.
