So we have a terrible fly problem! We come into our house and have about 10 flies buzzing around:ThumbsDown: This is an everyday problem, I don't want to get sticky fly paper cuz it is terrible stuff to get off when they drop on the floor and because the boys like chasing the flies....and a fly paper stuck kitty is not a happy kitty.... or me.

By the way can they sick from eating them?

I had a weird experience w/them too a couple of years ago where they squished themselves practically flat to get in the window in the kitchen. I found them when I opened the blinds. Had to be at least 20 of them! That night I taped the window where you lock it and that stopped them. Cats and dogs won't get sick if they eat them with out poison dressing that is! It's protein! Spockie loves chasing them and catching/eating them...

We closed off the area we thought they were coming from??? But there are more!!! We keep trapping them between the windows and our screen. If the doesn't work we sick Diggs on them. He is a great fly catcher! He chatters a cackels as he chases them. It is rather funny to watch!!! Glad they aren't bad for them.

Side note the boys are doing much better!!! Oz is gaining weight. We started giving them whole chicken wings. I thought it would be creepy to hear the sound of cracking bone but it's not so bad. It is actually refreshing cuz I know they are doing what they were born to do

Okay have never had a fly problem, but know people who have. Google penny in bag of water as fly repellent (as weird as it sounds they swear it is amazing). As well as google fresh basil as a fly repellent. Let me know if it works. I think flues are just gross.

Just a quick note on wings... they are bony, so you want to watch the poop. If they get too hard looking, cut up some chicken hearts/gizzards or even better chicken thighs which is of course the dark meat and is fabulous for the cats/dogs. Just make sure the enhancement (if bought a supermarket) is not more than 100mg /4 oz... Great news Oz is gaining weight!

Moses loves catching flies too. I don't encourage their presence be ause I think they are gross, but if I can't get one, I let him have a chance. Once, he carried one around for a good half an hour i. His mouth, and every time he opened his mouth a little, you coould hear it's wings buzz. It was so funny! He enjoys chasing them and eventually eats them. I know some flies carry some diseases but you and I live in Upstate NY, not Belize or somewhere tropical so I wouldn't worry about them catching anything from the flies!
