Should I be concerned....

When Buck came home, he seemed to grow soooo fast. Pinky has been home almost a month and has barely grown. I felt like Buck was growing almost too fast but now I'm worried Pinky is not growing very quickly. They have different parents even though they are from the same breeder but which is "normal"? The fast growing or the really "slow" growing...and should I be concerned about either?

Yes, that's why I wonder if I should be concerned. He is just still so little. He eats fine. But he does seem to have a more babyish way about him...he still suckles.

@sphynxmoms Does Pinky eat and drink well? Is Pinky active? If so, I think it's like with kids, some grow fast, some grow slow. Some start slow growing and then all the sudden grow like weed. Or just stay little.
Toa and Ross are from the same litter and they have a total different body and lenght. Ross is long and quit slim. Toa is short and chunky. They eat the same but grow up to look different. I guess that's the same with Buck and Pinky.

If you keep feeling worries maybe ask a vet what he thinks about Pinky. And on the bright side: Pinky is a name for a little dude not for a big man so he need to fit his name. (Note: pink is the Dutch word for the little finger)

He does eat and drink very well. He is also very active. I would like to see him gain a little more weight though...you can see too much of his skeletal system. We joke all the time that he still looks like an uncooked chicken wing.
We did have the vet out last week and his check up went well...I just wasn't sure if they should be growing at such drastically different rates. But thank you for putting my mind at ease because if your boys came from the same litter and are that different then I guess I shouldn't worry so much!(y)
And we call our smallest finger our Pinky finger LOL! So it probably does fit him well!

@sphynxmoms I have one really small girl and one normal sized girl. One wears Junior clothes and the other wears normal sized clothes one is 1 kg lighter than the other one and they are the same age. They have different parents. I was always worried about trying to make the little one bigger but it has not been possible. I would say that they just different size cats.

As long as he's healthy, I really don't think there is too much to be concerned about. Just like with humans, Sphynx have varying genetics as well. Hugs
