Firstly I'd like to apologize for me not being on here much at all lately.
As some of you who may remember me I have a boy named Yoda. We'd like to add another to our family. He must get lonely when we aren't home. But the million dollar question is, should we get a boy or a girl??

ALEKS!!!! HI! Yay. You are getting another baby? From the same breeder? I say get a boy, but I'm sexist. I don't think you can really go wrong either way. Its nice to see you!

I have three boys! So I'd tell you to get another boy! Love boy cats, but love female dogs.

Hey Hun :) oh it's nice to be back!!! Had to steal my daughters iPad lol. Yes we are getting a new baby for Yoda .... Ok and us. Not from the same breeder. Hubby wants a dark kitty with blue or aqua eyes. Today's breeder doesn't carry a blue eyed line so we are buying interstate this time around. Can't wait

Hmmm. I was honestly leaning towards a girl. Just to have more pink in the house. But not sure who would get along better with Yoda. :Dizzy:
I heard that 2 boys fight more. Did you find this?

Nope, they LOVE each other. They are always cuddling together and grooming each other. Their ears have not been cleaner! LOL

If you had two boys that weren't neutered and had one female let's say that wasn't spayed, THEN YOU'D HAVE FIGHTING! LOL

But if you are going to have both boys neutered, not a problem.
My personal experience is that male cats are much more affectionate and less moody than females. That's why I have three males.
I've only had female hairy cats (and males too).

I just picked up my latest addition, a second male, and similar to the other comment they get along great! My oldest Sphynx, Hipo, took to the new boy immediately and they just groom eachother and cuddle. They also run around and play a lot, thusfar, I have seen no fighting or combating of personalities. Although, I will say, since my first sphynx has a super dominant personality I took a kitten that had more of a docile personality. I think this is helping them to get along.

Fantastic! Thank you for all your replies. I really appreciate it. I have since rang the breeder back and asked her to go ahead and send me the boys pictures too. She only has one girl available she is blue and white with blue eyes. The boys are a solid blue with green eyes and a lilac boy with blue eyes.
Decisions decisions. The sound of the solid blue boy appeal to me but I really would have loved for him to have blue eyes.
Yoda is red and white with gold eyes.
Next step after that is name.... So much to think about!

YOU ARE BACK!!!!!!! I was actually just thinking about you the other day because I saw you on my friends list and I was hoping that you would come back soon. I say get a girl! I have Akali right now and I'm picking up my new little boy kitten in 2 more weeks. It would be fun to have a chance to try both male and female out. That's just my opinion! Missed you!

I prefer boys but you should get whatever you want and let the individual kitten be the decisive factor!
Welcome back btw, very exciting to add another kitten to the mix

I wondered the same thing before I got Bentley. Should I get another girl, should I get a boy, ugh! I couldn't have been more blessed to have picked Bentley & to already have Starla. Its nice to have one of each but the bottom line is that you're going to love whatever you get!
Is breeder close enough for you to visit? Go visit & fall in love with your kitten whichever gender it ends up being! :) So excited for you!

6 months ago I would have said boy but my little Lucy is one of the most affectionate kittens I’ve known. Her father is really sweet and her personality is just like his. So you might ask the breeder about their personalities. Sometimes the stereotypes are broken and it just depends on the individual cat.

I totally agree with the above if you can meet a litter and choose which one by personality that is the best fit rather than worrying about the sex of the kitten it would be fantastic! We have 2 male cats and a female. We are about to get another female and it will be the first time ever we have had 2 females at the same time. My fingers are crossed :)

I missed you too!!! It's been forever. I really need to get my laptop fixed. Its not much fun using my smart phone (stupid phone) and daughters ipad.
The hubby has spoken. We are getting the girl. She's so cute. Willpost pics of her as soon as I can work out how to do it off of my phone.

Unfortunately the breeder this time around is 750km away from me. Around 7 hours drive one way. With 3 kids in tow ranging from 14 to 2. I doubt it'll much fun. So I asked the breeder for as many pics of the babies as possible. She loves the little girl the most and says she is already very affectionate at such a young age.
I have built up a great friendship with her already, and instead of her being shipped by air the breeder will hand deliver her to me :) she says she needed a good excuse to come to meet another breeder (who I got Yoda from) and this is it :)

Please excuse the blurry pics. She took them with her phone.
They all live inside her home:BigSmile: the breeder who I got Yoda from kept them outside in a cattery set up like a dog shelter
