Skin rash, help please?

Hi I recently adopted a Sphynx from a rescue centre. Last week I came home from work and she was covered in a big rash on one side of her body the vets suggested a contact allergy and have her a steroid injection which seemed to bring the rash down but it’s a week later almost and some rashy patches are still there. Today I noticed her leg looks worse and sore and rashy I’m booked in again at the vets tomorrow, I doubt they have much experience with Sphynx and I imagine they will just prescribe steroids. I’m worried it could be uticaria pigmentosa but it doesn’t look as bad as other photos I’ve seen of that online. Has anyone had similar happen in their fur baby? What did your vets think it was? Thank you

It does look like a contact rash to me. We’re you able to remove whatever she had the reaction to?

Ok great thanks.. no unfortunately not as I have no idea what she has reacted to, I haven’t changed anything in the house since I adopted her

It will be a process of going back to basics and keeping things simple. No fragranced products. No synthetic materials.
