Snow/Ice Day Off--Squeeeee!

Bad weather here...started with a two hour delay then a complete cancellation of school. I am home, snuggly warm, with a sink full of dirty dishes and a mountain of dirty laundry so I have plenty to do and the unexpected time to do them! And if I run out of things to accomplish, or just run out of ambition, I have snuggly blankies, snuggly cats, and a shelf full of dvd movies. Life is GOOD!

I have a load of blankets in the washer, just recovered a storage stool the cats had clawed down to the wood ( a quick reupholstery job), and just about to put one load in the dryer and start another load. We go through blankets here at an alarming speed! I ALWAYS have laundry to do. Eventually I will get out that dvd and snuggle bunnies and relax, but right now, I am taking advantage of the "found" time to get some things accomplished. Squeeee!

i'm really jealous. Due to a malfunction, my classroom has been around 85 degrees for 3 weeks! I would looove to get a snow day, just to get out of that sweatbox!

Sounds like you have plenty to do....I can't relax until everything it spotless. I must say I like that there is no snow on the ground. I think it should snow christmas eve and then melt I hate driving in the snow so these mild winter we have been blessed with are A okay with me. Enjoy your snuggle time. !

Well, since last night it's dropped about 40 degrees in Texas and the schools around Austin are opening late tomorrow because it will be around freezing with a CHANCE of ice. If there really is ice on a few roads everything will shut down and they'll be calling it "the Great Ice Storm of 2013" lol.
