since my vet put Charlie on doxycycline antibiotics to get to stop sneezing he's been sleeping none stop wont even play with his favorite toy won't eat won't drink I had to put syringe of water into his mouth to force water into his body I had feed him turkey just so he would eat he wont even touch his dry food , his eye is red and watery pretty sure his nose is swollen. WHY would meds make him 100% worse ?!!?!?!? I called my vet she wasn't even working today and they told me another vet would call me back .. that was like 7 hours ago ... I'm pissed and sad and worried :Cry: I have never seen him like this before

I would go to an emergency vet immediately. It doesn't take long for cats to get very ill if they don't eat or drink.

I agree.. go to an er vet...sounds like no one at the regular vet would even give you any info on wheter that is normal or not.
I hope you get some answers and baby gets well soon

Take him in now, anywhere you can get him in! Then tomorrow, I'd call the regular vet's office every hour if I had to until I got someone on the phone! Poor Charlie!

Maybe he's having an allergic reaction to the medication. Hope he gets better soon. When my kitten was sick and was reluctant to eat or drink, I gave him chicken or beef baby food (make sure there are no onions in it, as they are toxic to cats), tuna water and KMR for a few days. This kept him from getting dehydrated and weak.

Poor Charlie! Does he have a URI? When both of my boys had one, they were put on Clavamox and an eye ointment....they were both also really lethargic for a couple days. I used to make a broth out of water and a bit of low sodium tuna juice to try and get Amen-Ra to have enough fluids...maybe try that? I do agree you should get him to and emergency vet ASAP. I hope he gets better soon.

Thank you very much everyone you're all amazing charlie is doing better he's eating and drinking again and he's currently awake and chilling in the window but his eye is still a bit weird but I got drops I guess he just had a bad reaction to the meds scary!
