hi everyone ok so my lil baby kitten Mute is just about 10 months old now !!! he has recently started kneeding but now he is like also ( what looks like to me at least) humping the blankey while kneeding ? I’m not entirely sure LOL but when he goes into kneeding overload his red rocket is deff out I looked it up Ofcourse & on this like vet forum thing there was another person saying their cat did something similar but the vet that responded to their question was INSISTING that that was not the case ? She had said that unless he is biting aggressively then it is NOT humping ? Mute deff isn’t biting or anything while doing it - So I didn’t really get any clarification on what the answer is - so just reaching out to see if anyone else has seen this with their lil baby’s !!! I’m not like super concerned bc it does seem harmless BUT still want to ask - thankyou for your guys time !!!! ( also just realized I can’t post videos ) also he is inact still!

Hi, My Wilson used to do exactly the same thing as little Mute, he had his favourite blankets and appeared to demonstrate exactly how much he loved them ! He did it all his life when the mood took him. (he was castrated) and there was also no biting, just deep contented purring We learned to sort of ignore it , it was just "his thing" althogh when we had company (he really didn't mind who saw him) we did try to distract him from it. We also mentioned it to our vet who didn't seem concerned

hi ! thankyou for sharing with me ! that makes me feel better that maybe it is just a lil quirk of his ! & good to know ! same at our household- I don’t mind ( in the least weird way possible LOL) but I started overthinking it a little ( first time sphynx owner so I feel I always have to double check ) thankyou !!

Our boy does the same thing from time to time. He definitely likes certain textured blankets more than others lol.
