Hi,

I'm here with a very very heavy heart. I inherited a sphynx a month ago from my deceased neighbor (can offer additional context if needed); the surviving siblings gave me two sphynxes (it's been about a month now since their owner passed away). One is doing just fine; however, the male, who is about six, suffers from several underlying health issues. I've spent nearly $3000 thus far on getting him right, providing him with round-the-clock care consisting of a heavy regiment of pills and liquid medicine. Muffin was diagnosed with a rare liver condition known as Cholangiohepatitis, and two weeks after his 28 days antibiotic regimen; I'm afraid that he has not yet cut the corner. He is throwing up. He also has major dental work needed (go figure, he almost has no teeth left). I want to relinquish Muffin to a family or an organization that can get him back on track. Unfortunately, having already sustained a substantial financial loss and am unable to provide him with the help he desperately requires. I'm helpless and hopeless, and I'm hoping someone can stir me in the right direction. I do not want to relinquish him to someone with nefarious ideas (i.e., selling him for profit) and want to be absolutely transparent about his health status. I'm not willing to consider a shelter as I think he still has a lot of life to live and thus should not be put to sleep. :-( Help in Los Angeles...

No Rehoming fee for the purrfect approved home.

Hi Yoda,

Great news! I found him a home. The ex-girlfriend (original owner) of my deceased neighbor is re-united with both Muffin and Pancakes. The two broke 4 years ago and left the cats with him to help get over the break-up. She's moved on with her life, built a successful practice as a hairstylist and just bought a home in LA. A friend of mine told me she had expressed interest in getting the cats back when he died (he was a successful music producer on a verge of signing a major record deal with Sony) but had found out the deceased brother's sibling had already given me the cats. Well, this is true Karma at play with a Hollywood ending. The cats are back with their original cat mama, and although it had a been several years since they hadn't seen her, they remembered her, especially Muffin who latched on to her arms and wouldn't let go! He's got a stud personality and usually never lets me grab him unless he wants me to grab him! Well, this is a sad story with a very happy ending this story arch has now gone full circle with the cats being back home with the owner and judging from the pictures I've received are right there where they are supposed to be. I decided to give Pancakes back because I could not stand for them to be separated as they are inseparable.

Cried my eyes out when I read the first post. Couldn’t type for an hour after I read the phenomenal ending, what a true blessing…
