Sphinx has blue spots

Hi,

My little baby )9 years old) has developed some skin issues. He seems to have rashes and at some point he had what looked like hives on his stomach. We thought it was the shampoo, so we changed it but the rashes have spread and the hives turned blue!

He doesn’t complain about them but I’m very worried. I will take him to the vet but I wanted to see if anyone here has experienced something similar or knows what it could be?

Glad you are going to the vet. That almost looks more like bruising under the skin. They will probably want to do a full bloodwork on them if you have not had one in the last year. Please keep us updates.

Glad you will be taking him to the vet. I agree it almost looks like bruising under the skin. Lab work should be done to check for any platelet issues.

**Update**

Hi everyone! Thank you so much for the love

Blood work came back normal. We just have to monitor the blue spots for now. No skin infections but they think it’s eczema. He’s also very anxious, so the constant licking isn’t helping. We got a cream to treat the rashes and will tone down the showers.


If anything develops I will update !

so happy bloodwork came back normal
what is the name of the cream? if he licks it, you could consider a soft cone members use found on amazon etc. there are some pics of here on SL. some of the soft cones look like little flowers
