The outfits are ridiculous...cute outfits are one thing but those cross a line for me. The tattooing part is even worse. I think the owners who do that are very selfish and seems like they own their pets for the wrong reason. Anesthesia is a big deal and to use it to put them under for tattooing...ugh. I myself have tattoos and even after you get it the healing process is an ordeal--I can't imagine putting an animal through that, no thanks.

~*sigh*~ I was under the impression that tattooed sphynxes were a myth. Simple photoshop, you know? Apparently not. There's actually a video of a cat getting tattooed. :( To each their own, but I would never do that to my cat. And I'm sure that breaches some sort of breeders contract somewhere! Tattoos aren't really that terrible feeling to get them. They are not pleasant, but not unbearably painful, either. But the healing process?? My god! It's an itchy, stingy, achy mess. It's a great big open wound that heals over to keep the ink in the skin. It takes about a week for the aching to subside. ~*shakes head*~ My apologies to anyone here who may have done it, but holy cow...

Disgusting! What is wrong with these people? What did they have to do to the Nudies to get them to hold still? Sedate them? That's just wrong and cruel! It's terribly disturbing and I'm surprised that the pet groups..PETA, Humane Society etc don't step in. XXX Holes!!!!

(Sorry..just doesn't sit well with me!)

The bondage pics are a joke and have been around for quite awhile and the tattoos are fake ones... What cat would sit through such a thing... Mine would rip me in half if I got near them with a tattoo needle... they vibrate and make noise.

It's like the Bonsai kittens. Just some bored people attempting humor.

The second cat is a member here. The tattoos are the kind you wet and apply and are totally harmless (and painless).

Here is my cat, Neon (also a member) showing his tattoo off.

He said they are totally painless... and as long as they are applied with warm water he doesn't mind them at all. Although afer a couple of days his sister got jealous and washed it off. Venus would look killer in one of those outfits!

While he had it he pranced around and made sure everyone saw it!

The one video won't open... I wouldn't agree with a cat having a real tat... the way Sphynx scab could present problems as well. Although people have used tattoos on both cats and dogs for years as ID.

The only one that appears genuine to me is the Russian tattoo parlor one. The others are definitely CGI/photoshopped. Look at the eyes in the clothed ones...NOT sphynx.

If they did, indeed, tattoo that poor cat in Russia (which it appears they did), the owner and tattoo artist both should be put to sleep, and tattooed with a HUGE embarrassing icon, not of their choosing, that covers their entire face, neck and chest. ....in my normally PC and quiet opinion, anyway....:ThumbsDown::ThumbsDown:

I agree with NakedNinja. Looks like the tattoo vid is authentic. SHAME ON THEM. We as humans can make our own choice about our bodies, but really?? To force that upon our animals, our PETS, our companions is despicable. Under anesthesia?? wtf.... to put them at risk with anesthesia and then pain and risk of infection.... Those people should be drawn and quartered. Selfish, self-centered bastards!! I would be happy to go there and flog them myself.....:Angry::Angry:

Not even going to look....I don't need the heartache. Or the anger.

Tattooing cats is horrid, but i see no real harm in the ones applied with water. I probably wouldn't keep them on very long and would remove them myself before they are licked off.

As far as those outfits go, I would bet most of them are photoshopped. They just don't look real and Photoshop has plugins to make all that shiny vinyl.

There is a guy who tattoos pigs on the other side of the world and they go or thousands of dollars.. They are a lot tougher though. I would never for real tat my cat. I think a lady in NY got fined for peircing cats.. She was trying to appeal to the goth/punk population and sell them as freak cats or something.. I saw a guy tattoo his dog inside its ear.. H says people can take off collars and remove microchips but they cant really ignore the ownership tat in his ear.. In a sense I can see that he loves his dog so much he wants to ensure that everyone knows its his..but I also see the inhumane aspect as well.. We as humans have the ability to decipher right from wrong and can choose our actions.. our pets rely on us to make choices for them.. As for the outfits, I love the artistic side of it.. I think what theyve done with photoshop is far less scary or harmful than some of the animal videos I have seen on youtube of what people find FUNNY.

Temporary tats are ok as long as they're non toxic to our babies. But this crap is totally unacceptable.:ThumbsDown::ThumbsDown: UN:Cool:

Temp tattoos ... cool:BigSmile:
photo-shopped fetish gear -- I like the humor:ThumbsUp:
Real tattoos GRR...

Real tattoos that are a owner ID (numbers in the ear)-- Okay, I know how those are done. It takes about 10 seconds and hurts the cat about as much as being chipped

My mum`s dog has a tattoo in his ear, now after 8 years it`s barely visible . I am not sure if I like the idea of a microchip more, especially that they tend to move under the skin. I personally would go crazy if someone put sth like that under my skin
The tat/mic is also a protection in case of someone stealing our animal, there was a story on the Lair of a lady who had some troubles proving to the police it`s her cat.
But piercing or normal tat - NO !

Did she not have pictures? I have tons!

tats fade no matter the subject. My one year old tats look faded compared to the one I got last week! I still think its awesome enough that you LOVE your pet enough to claim it, esp in a world where humans give up on animals when they dont live up to expectations..
