After years of wanting a sphynx cat as if by fate I recived an email on face book from a lady looking for an oriental shorthair. Wich I have raised for the past ten years with my partner Rex.She Susi also raises Sphynx Jackpot ! after talking a bit and waiting a bit we traded kittens . she took a BEW oriental girl pearlie and I took a dilute torti girl Squealy and I couldent be more happy with her.

Since neither Susi or I will ship a cat cargo she flew out to Los Angeles with Squeals and spent the day with me in our art gallery . I made a new friend she and I really hit it off and Im so glad to have met her you dont meet cool people every day and she is an amazing woman.

Having welcomed the sphynx breed into my life I dont know how I ever lived without one she is just so sweet and outgoing and I just love to cuddel with her
my osh are very special and id never not have one , but I can honestly say I prolly wont be without a sphynx or two from now on as well.

the cats take us on some very special life journeys mine has just started with squealy already she has made each new day a lil more special for me and my house has even more love in it what more could you want .............really

Welcome, my sweet new friend! Pearlie and I both send our love. She is beginning to get a little more comfortable--I love her to pieces! Thanks for all the lovely things you said about me--I think you're pretty incredible myself. I'm so glad Squealie is being a good girl and that it's a love connection. I wish the two of you years and years and years of happiness together, and I am so happy you joined the Lair so we can continue to watch her grow into the beautiful girl I know she'll be. Since I don't show, I will be interested to hear how she does.

I have a question for both you and Susi - how do the personalities of Sphynx and OSH differ? Perhaps it is too soon for you to tell, but are there any obvious differences - like more or less active/vocal/laidback/velcro-kitty? I think both breeds are stunning, but I'm less familiar with OSH.

I'm going to leave this one to Brian--I don't know Pearlie enough yet to state what she is really like---she is a lot more timid than the sphynxes are...and she talks alot....not loudly so far, but she trills and clucks and vocalizes quite often when I talk to her. She's affectionate but on her terms only so far......she is beginning to like me to give her attention, but at the same time would be quite content if I let her ignore me and just left her alone. But hopefully that will change as she gets to feeling more at home. She love nips when she wants me to keep petting her and I am not doing it and she doesn't mind telling me when she doesn't like whatever it is I am doing either--she slapped my hand...LOL...she has definitely got opinions and doesn't mind sharing them. LOL She seems really intelligent and a bit stubborn too....Brian said she tries to make him not do things like cutting her nails, but he just doesn't stop, so she stops trying to struggle--and does what he wants her to do.
She likes to have her belly stroked.....and I love her sweet little face looking at me so sweetly.
