Strong urine smell

Hi all,

My mum’s sphynx is coming up to 13. We’ve noticed his urine smells quite strong. He drinks a normal amount, refuses all wet food, eats Purina veterinary gastro dry food, has been to the vet and his kidneys etc are all fine… is he just a strong-urine-smell kind of cat, or are there other things we should be looking into?

You say vet said all is well with their kidneys…they did a blood test in order to determine this?

Yes, they did a full panel including kidney. Perfectly in the middle of the healthy range

get a cat litter that test urine its not 100% correct but it might put in the right direction. But did they test blood and urine? Also some vets test in house but to get more accurate results send to a lab at a higher cost but more accurate and wider results.
