Terms and Rules on Sphynxlair.com

We have updated our terms and rules slightly - please see the change below, the bold italic is what was changed from our original Terms and Rules -

• Posting pictures of litters with intention to sell on Sphynxlair.com is not permitted. Breeders are welcome to post ONE picture of a litter to share with the community, adding more than one may result in deletion. Staging labor is also prohibited. If a thread begins leading to sales or questions of sales, it may be closed or removed from public view.

Please understand that we love the breed as well as our members who are breeders and welcome them here in the community, but Sphynxlair is not a place to sell cats or kittens, this has always been our rule from day one. We have been very "loose" in enforcing the rules on images of kittens and litters, but we just need to be sure everyone is clear on the new rule/s and that we will enforce it moving forward. We just want to be fair with everyone.

@Rachael McLain I personally feel this has always set Sphynxlair apart from FB sites. Sphynxlair is not about promoting anything except the health and welfare of the breed. The breeding world can be dark and misleading at times but in this community it is about sharing and caring. It is hard to make everyone happy so even the best of breeders can get complaints. By not making this community about breeders it helps to eliminate negativity/bashing. Thanks for the reminder for newbies.

What does "staging labor" mean?

@susi794 I think it means taking pics of the Mother having her babies
or even to video it. If I'm wrong @admin can correct me.
