Sharon and I decided to exchange gifts for each other in addition to the secret santa exchange--so it isn't cheating that we know our gifts are from each other.

Sharon, we opened your package tonight--after Habibi and Dulcinea checked it out:

We couldn't believe all the prizes inside!

Here's what we got:

A jar of Cosmic cat nip, two catnip toys with ribbons on them, a whole bag of mousies, four sweaters, a fish'n play mat, a beautiful furry kitten stuffed animal, a kitten statuette, some Boston Baked Beans candy, and some of Emeril's Kick It Up sauce, a stuffed flower that has a saying on it that I love--"Love binds everything", a pack of cosmos seeds, and a puff of rabbit fur.

You said you would explain a couple of the presents--I am assuming it is the packet of seeds and maybe the rabbit fur? They were both in special boxes--I don't know if you put them in the boxes becasue they are small or because they have special meaning. Or is it the Kick It Up sauce? Golly, I don't know.....I think they are all cool gifts and I feel very blessed to call you my friend.

Anyway, we thank you so very much and send much love for you and Boone,
Susi and the gang

Aww, Susi.... you're very welcome! It was my pleasure to put that package together for you and your babies:BigSmile: The 2 gifts I said I would explain were the Boston Baked Beans & Emeril's hot sauce. These are both from my area. Maybe you're not aware of it but, Emeril is from Fall River where I live.

The flower seeds I chose for you, because I remember seeing pics of your yard. You had tons of flowers & such great landscaping that I thought you' d enjoy growing these & perhaps transplant them in your yard.

I apologize for not coming onto the Lair yesterday. My daughter didn't leave until 10 pm. & this morning, I come into my office, & my oldest son took away my laptop & set me up with a different computer... that he swears is faster:Dizzy: So, I haven't yet loaded any pics into this 1. My daughter took lots of pics of me opening your gifts. My goodness, you gave us so many beautiful things!!! Was the large hoodie meant for my Daschund? Because it fits him to a tee!

Thank you so so so very much, Susi... & I too consider myself quite blessed that you & I are friends.:Adore:

Love,
Sharon, Boone & our entire gang!

ps: I'll get pics up @ some point today.

The large hoodie can be for anyone that it fits. The gang just wants someone to be able to use it. Did my little homemade jacket fit Boone? How about the hat and the scarf? I was worried they'd all be too small.
You're so welcome.
We love you and thank you so much for the greatest gift of all---your friendship.

Your hand-made jacket fits Boone perfectly. He's been wearing it since last night! The hoodie fits my dog, Sammy, & it was sooo sweet of you to give that for 1 of my other pets. Oh, I absolutely love the hat & scarf set. Was that the gift you saw that you said brought Boone to mind? It is something a "Boone" would wear, & yes it fits just right! My boys adore the 3 felt mice also, & I love all the goodies you gave me too! I'm still trying to get use to this new computer to post more pics, but here are a few from our Christmas morning:

We love you & your gang too, Susi, & you're right... friendship is a beautiful thing. Thank you so very much for being our friend!

I am so glad he likes them and that they fit! Yes, it was the hat--I wanted to get it for him the minute I saw it! But there was no coat to go with it so I found a throw that matched the colors and decided to try and make one. I was so worried it wouldn't fit. The directions on the velcro called to iron the reverse side with a hot iron to bond it to the material--and then snip off the corners to stop it from prying up. Did you find the candy and the coils for Boone? They were loose in the box and the candy was wrapped up in a plastic grocery bag. Am glad you liked everything and that Boone's jacket fit him. And glad the hoodie fit somebody--your dachsy looks great in it!
Much love, from one friend to another,
Susi

You're the best, Susi! Yes, thank you so much for the sugar free candy... very much appreciated. & the soy candle is awesome too. I can only burn soy candles because of my parrot. I get mine from a local grocery store, but they have very limited scents. Its so nice to have a new scent to fill the air! & wow, all the coils you gave... I'm sooo grateful. Boone loves them, & so do my other kitties. I'll take more pics & post them asap. I've kind of been busy taking down all the holiday decorations. I want to get that done before my vacation is over. You truly made my Christmas one to remember:BigSmile:

Much love to you also, my forever friend,
Sharon )

I wasn't fishing for more thanks--LOL--just wanted to make sure you found them and they didn't get tossed into the trash--I am notorious for doing stuff like that. I didn't have much decorations to take down--can't do much anymore. But I have been trying to clean my house while I am no break, so I totally get it. Don't worry about posting more pics right away--post when you can. I would love to see Boone in the jacket, hat and scarf though....

I've had a couple of parrots in my time--had an orange wing Amazon name Sinbad--the store where I bought him lied about his age--I had him for about 5 years and then woke up one day to find him lying dead in the cage., after that, I had a Spectacled Amazon, named Max--who I adored. That sweet little bird went everywhere with me--we took naps together, he came in the shower with me and "helped" me cook every day. Max got so loud though, that military housing made me get rid of him--you could hear him outside in the parking lot and my neighbors complained. I cried my eyes out. Then, after I left my husband and moved back to Michigan, I had a conure named Fast Eddy who was a horrible bird--he could talk, but he wasn't nice. I sold him after he bit the bejeebers out of my face one day he was sitting on my shoulder--for no reason at all, he just reached over and bit the crap out of me. He just decided he didn't like me or something and continued to bite me every chance he got. He was really drawing blood constantly, so I got to be afraid to work with him.
After that, I decided no more birds-- but, I would love an African Gray someday.

I'm just very grateful. Thats why I overkill on the thank yous:Laugh:

Darn, Fast Eddy was a meanie, huh. I'd be petrified too. My parrot, Floyd bit me once in the nose (the cartilage between the 2 nostrils), but he didn't draw blood. It hurt so much that my eyes instantly teared up. He's a good bird. Talks too much though, especially while I'm working. A couple of months ago he was going off while I was on the phone with a hotel guest. The man asked me if it was a puppy he was hearing. I said no. Then he asked if I had a woman tied up:LOL: I said no that it was my parrot. I had to explain that most reservation sales associates work from home now. Floyd is in his adolescent years, so he's very rebellious.

I'll get a pic of Boone with your jacket & the hat & scarf. All the decorations are packed up but the tree. I have to do that either today or tomorrow. Today I have to take my elderly friend out to do her errands & do her laundry. She's 87 years old, a lil' pint of peanuts, so cute. She has no one else to help her, so I've been giving her a hand since July. I promise... no more thank yous:Laugh:
