Well, everybody survived the day--the little guy was pretty skinny when I got home, but will supplement my heart out every two hours until I go to work tomorrow. Everybody else is good...started Lulu on the azithromax this afternoon. My vet gave me a refund on some of the other meds I hadn't opened yet--$48.00. So with the money so graciously donated by you wonderful folks here at Sphynx Lair, and with the refund, I was able to buy the meds, saline to mix it with, syringes to administer it and the office call last night. My vet took a long time to separate the powder into three separate containers--because it comes in a container that if you mix the entire amount, you will waste some of it--and it cost $70.00. He took over an hour with me, writing everything down, explaining what to do, who to medicate, how much saline to add, how much to dose--with my entire brood, it gets complicated. But thanks so much to you all for the loving assistance so many have offered. I love you all for it.
Hopefully it is the beginning of better days to come.
Sorry to hear you are hurt--really, you don't need to send me anything...I know you care without it. Take care of yourself--stay off your ankle! Are you also a teacher??? 2nd grade? If so, gotta love ya! Those little second grade girls are a different breed of characters!
* For the non-teachers out there--2nd grade girls have the NEED to check every move they make with the teacher--at least they do around here--and it's enough to drive ya nuts! There is a lot of girl drama at that age also..."You are not my friend anymore!" they delight in telling each other, which brings a gush of tears from the others....oh--you are a special woman, GF. By the time they graduate 2nd for third, some of that is over--thank goodness!
Applied for another one today so we will see how it goes.![]()
