The montmorillonite Powder was amazing. When he came back from the vet his poops where totally liquid I could not even pick them up with the scoop. It sounded like a gush of liquid leaving the body. My vet recommended two sachets a day And the results were daily. Each bowel movement was a little better until day 4 perfect.

June Update on the snotty one.

Two weeks after he came home life was or is amazing I have a new, energetic, curious little chap Who is demanding his outside walks but on Saturday, Sunday and Monday We were back to the snotty sneezes The only difference as the color it was no more the yellow puss color. It was clear. So on Wednesday we went for another flush. The vet suggested we do it twice a week.
I personally am not crazy with the idea of anesthesia twice a week in the one month he has had 10 doses so far. But we can only do this flush while the hole is still open in his skull. He is healing very fast and it is closing. It has made a big difference on his mood and temperament for the better.
I shall take him in once more but this time before he starts to sneeze as I have always taken him in after he has sneezed everything out.
The price of the procedure so far is equal to buying 4 Sphynx kittens from the top breeders with no papers. His quality of life and the improvement in him was worth every cent. But we still have snot They have reduced the pressure build up of bone inside the sinus by drilling it away to reduce the pressure on the eyeball and brain. So the procedure had to be done. And while the bone is growing and closing we went to keep it clean inside. That is from the vet
At least now I can take him out on longer journeys to see the sights in China. We went to see the the site of the navy yard from the first Emperor Yes the same one who had the Terra Cotta Army build. He had a navy too That did their training in Xi’an. Which was a momentous thing because we are dead center in China So the made a large man made lake as their navy training yard This is the actual size of the boats they found under ground

@Natalie Murphy , thank you for keeping us updated on sweet Shamus. he is being such a good boy and know he can't wait to come home. continued positive vibes for his continued procedures. He has the bestest mum. is there a set come home day? hugs n head smooches
I told them he comes home after the procedure So I dropped him off at 10am and fetched him at 2pm. I am not crazy about him being locked in a room
As Shamus gets a room after the incubator, with a cat tree a floor window and all but at least at home he gets more cuddles and I feel better he is not alone.
They want him to come in twice a week but he has already had so much anesthesia. I shall do it once a week for him and this will be the last time if there is still mucus.

Mind you the little ahit did not want to come home. He loves the vet, walking around like he owned the place. I feel like the interloper when I try to get him back in his backpack. It is so embarrassing. Let me bring out his backpack at home and he is in it like a little crazed demon. But no not at the vet he literally does that 8 mile stretch with all paws pointing in a direction of the compass.

Update -Two weeks after the last operation

So far The snotty one has only sneezed twice nothing projectile but I had to wipe his nose. What a pleasure it is to not have to wake up with snot in my hair or wash my bedding every 3days. He is so active he has never in his whole life played and interacted so much with his toys He even walks for longer periods of a time on his leash.

He also had his ears drained and that has reduced the black yuck by 1000% I have noticed he jumps more when he heard loud noises and is now always at the front door when I return home He used to only come off his perch when I open the front door. All in all it was really worth it.

Update 4 weeks after the operation

No sneezing no snot.

The vet is over the moon and has reported this to the university and they shall be incorporating this procedure into their training for the new semester. As we are not the only ones with a snotty situation. Apparently it is becoming very common among dogs too.
