My boy Ross shut me out today!

This week I was in Lisbon for four days/three nights, leaving my boys home alone for the first time. When I came home thursdaynight they were not happy and didn't want to cuddle.

The next morning Toa did forgive me and he wanted to play and cuddle again. But not Ross, no! The whole day he stayed in his own little house.
When I wanted to pet him he just turned his back on me!

This morning Ross was still angry. Stubborn little boy. When I went in the garden Toa run with me. It was cold so I needed to get Toa back inside. I walked towards Toa and closed the door behind me so Ross couldn't go outside either.

And that was thd moment Ross took his revenge!

I caught Toa and wanted to go back inside but...nope! Door wouldn't open cause Ross did put the safety lock down!! And those things are impossible to open from the outside.

So there we were, me standing bare footed in the garden and Toa shivering from cold. Thankfully I had a tshirt and sweater on. So I put of my sweater and put Toa in it.

With no phone with me I couldn't do anything else then climb over my fence to be able to ask my neighbours for help. They have a spare key but with the safety lock down, a key couldn't help me to get in. One of the neighbours did have a long ladder and I left my window of the bedroom open. So up the ladder I went and like a thieve in the night I climbed through the window.

And mister Ross? He came running to me for a cuddle when I climbed my way back in the house.

I know it's not possible but I could swear he shut me out on purpose!!
Just look at his quilty look

Welcome Home! Ha Ha Ha...my boy Babas is always Mr. Cattitude. We come back from vacation and the we know the exact order of our greeting...First...Azura screaming...Jouët sachets down ...then Loki comes down and starts yelling at hubby for abandoning him...and then...where is Babas...I have to walk upstairs and find him sulking and making me feel guilty. 13 years of this behavior and I love it. He tells me exactly how he feels ...my goal is to get a purr out of him as quickly as possible...used to be 2 days and now 2 hours...lol. I think your boy locking you out is actually quite funny and an expression of being extremely pffftd. I had a great giggle reading your post.

Enjoy your weekend and rest up after your vacation...

My kitties used to be the same...they can tell too when something is different and I am going away or someone is staying here. My grandma has been here for a week and it takes Moses a few days to warm up to people but by now he is used to her. She offers him a treat when she walks in the door and he follows her right to the treat cupboard! Two days ago she did not offer him a treat quickly enough and she was standing leaning in the cupboard and he walked up to her, stood up on his hind las and tapped her hand with his paw like he is trained lol! She jumped because he scared her by touching her hand! It was quite funny- but they know what they are doing!!

Funny how all your cats have their own way of greeting you when you come home! All different personality's. The more they let us show how mean we were by leaving them, the harder we work to show them we missed them. So Babas is being very smart!

I had to giggle all day long because of what Ross did. I was even giggling while climbing over my fence and when I was trying to tell my neighbours what happened. They didn't understand what was so funny about it. But that face of Ross when he locked the door! He was looking a little proud and a little afraid...ohoooh what did I do. And after a few minutes he started meoowing at the door, giving me a look like asking "why are you and Toa standing outside? Why am I alone inside the house? That's not fair!!":ROFLMAO::D:ROFLMAO::D

They learn so fast when it's about things they like. Moses will expect a treat from your grandma everytime she walks in the door. I love the way he gently reminds her by tapping on her hand! Enjoy your time with your grandma.

I think we all get punished for leaving them to vacation.
Nutty, they get over it. It probably is worse on me than, Izmae.
I miss her so bad and feel guilty.

I knew I would get punished for leaving my boys. But never thought being shut out would be my punishment:D. And your right, it's worse on us. We miss then much more and the quilty feeling makes it even worse!

Ross looks totally innocent, I'm sure he had absolutely nothing to do with you being locked out:whistle:
Much as I feel for you, I'm kind of glad this happened so we get to see his beautiful picture. He's a handsome boy, whether naughty or nice!

Ross was telling me all day: it wasn't me! And then run away giggling:smuggrin:
And I gladly show more pictures of my handsome boy without him shutting me out;)

Wow you got the ultimate cold shoulder from Ross! Danser would give me the cold should but never lock me out of the house.
Glad you are all friends again.

Ross did give me a good lesson: Make sure I always stay friends with him or else...:)!

A deadly combination it is. And I have to admit...I love him even more after this! I won't think twice cause I won't even dare to think just one second about going on holiday. You never know, maybe he's so sensitive that he can read my mind:)

Mind reading Sphynx are a frightening concept. Lately Max has been learning to use his thumb to manipulate objects and that has me very seriously concerned. But a mind reading Max… I think that would be horrifying. LOL

A mind reading Max who can manipulate objects with his thumb would be a great concept for a horror movie!

Thank goodness that he is a well behaved kitty (unless he is hungry). But I've been absolutely fascinated lately to watch him manipulate his toys and treats with his paws, using his thumb far too dexterously.
