Well as some of you know I have recently got married and my now husband tries to play the big bad Mr. There Nicole's Cats. Well this weekend there as much his as they are mine. We have talked about him making a bed-frame and headboard for our new king size bed for a while now but with planning a wedding and the holidays things have been busy. So this weekend as Hairry and I are keeping up with our Netflix on Saturday morning Joey gets up and says he is off to HomeDepot. So a few hours later he returns with a trailer of lumber. Hmmmm Joey is a machinist so things are done with plans and to exact measurements so this was odd. He comes in with a measuring tape asking questions about how high I would like a headboard then starts measuring the cat door that goes to the porch. So the first day he made a great bed frame that I could put storage totes under and today he made this. Yes, He made me a headboard that doubles as cat furniture with a ramp so even Violet can get into the hiding box. There is a place to put the cord through for there electric throw and a pad on top for them to lay. He still needs to put the trip on it and stain it but I couldn't resist sharing it with you guys. I have to say I have found a keeper and Hairry, Curly, Violet and Fuzzy are so lucky to have a Daddy that loves them SO much!!!!

Ok, Nicole, where have I been??? When did you get married and did you make an announcement on here? I'm so sorry I somehow didn't know. A BIG congratulations to you and Joey. :)

He is definitely a keeper! He could probably make some serious money by making all of us Lairians one of those, hint hint. Lol. I would love that.

LOL I got married on October 12th. I didn't do any big announcement... It was one of those small weddings that turned into 150+ people. Thank you so much! And yes Joey is a keeper!! Funny thing is he has never had a cat as a pet until now so he is doing a great job with them. I have even caught him loving on the furry ones outside while he was making the headboard.

That is awesome!! Joey has made quite a few things in the house for the Sphynxies. Our house is pretty much the cats and they let us live in it. They have a cat window with custom landings on either side with ramps to walk up and down. One of the walls has a ramp up it to a large ledge with a big tube that goes to a large dormer window with a big piece of cat furniture in it for them to bask in the sun. And now the headboard in the master bedroom. Maybe I should post a thread about all the cool ways people have adapted there homes for there Sphynxies. hhhmmmm

(I just love it when I catch my husband loving on our babies). LOL
