The vet thinks it was Tilly's liver shunt that wasn't working right. We are all heartbroken by the loss of this tiny cat. I am so grateful for all the support from all my sphynx cyber friends.
Sometimes we try so hard and think we can cheat nature...and we just can't change the way things are meant to be. She was very beautiful and chubby and looked great. I know how hard it is to try and try and try and I know what it's like to love them so bad you can hardly breathe and that it feels like your work was all in vain....but Tilly knew....and we did....and God did too. And I pray that the kind and caring love you showed her will come back to you tenfold. She is probably bragging to all her friends across the bridge about what a great mama lady she had....and sending you her love and thanks for all you did to love her and give her a life. Bless you for that.
I am trying to keep back the tears...I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Know we are all here for you to just listen as we all understand there is nothing like being owned by a Sphynx. Keep your memories close to your heart...they will only grow bigger as time goes on.
Kassie and I are so sad. Sometimes we could glimpse the cat we thought, we hoped, we prayed, sweet Tilly would grow up to be. She was such a tiny bit of bone and blood with such a huge heart and a unbelievable will to live. I am not sure why she stayed so long when we thought so many times that her time was up. There must be some lesson here in the will to live or the power of prayer. My admiration for these strange creatures grows stronger by the day.
I am so sorry for your loss, the best thing is little Tilly isn't suffering any
more. I know it had to be heartbreaking to see her suffer. This would be such
a hard heartbreaking life for her and you to, if she would have lived and suffered
and been sick her whole life, this would have been much worse for her and you to.
But she was a precious baby while you had her, and I know you will always remember
how sweet and precious she was.
