All this talk about toilet training is making me want to train Nala more and more! I have been wanting to train her, but she was confined to a section of our house because my other cat was just too mean to her. Meeko, my other cat was old and hated other animals and most people, despite Nala being so nice and cute! Meeko unfortunately passed away a couple weeks ago, so I want to start seriously thinking about training Nala now. I sure hope she catches on. She is already 17 months old.

So sorry to hear about Meeko.

Bah, no luck with Lulu still. I'm sure if I was home all day and could catch her while she was going I could get her to quit pooping on the floor but she always seems to go when I'm not around or sleeping. I even tried to put the extra tray on the floor to see if she would use it but nothing. Luca decided that he liked that better and uses it but Lulu still pees in the toilet and poops on the floor, argh! I'm going to have to start from scratch, oh well I won't give up.

I know Twitch was the same way so I just kept going back. Stay strong and keep trying. There were times that I was worried she was holding it and would break out the box for her and she would go right away. Now she seems very comfortable with it, I hope.

Lulu's grandaddy had the exact same problem. He peed in the toilet like a pro, but refused to ever poop in the toilet. She's not even a year yet, maybe she needs to grow out of that silly kitty brain. Haha... Good luck with toilet training her! She's a smart girl, she'll get it.

I just got my order from City Kitty. We can do this together Sphynxie. I get my Kitty the week after you get yours. I am waiting to start my Persian on it til I get my Sphynx. So far moving the box and so on she is doing fabulous. No accidents but still in the early stages. At least I got the box in the bathroom. Hopefully I can keep it there until my Kitty comes and then they are both able to proceed. I hope I can wait if not they will both be on different schedules. I am anxious to get it all started. Anyone starting Litter Kwitter anytime soon? Maybe we can test which is the better method. At least we can share stories.

Aww poor Nudie. Im jealous dont get my kitty til the 3rd. By all means a week or so behind you is fine as I can learn from your trials. Waiting to train is easier to wait than it is to wait for my Kitty. At least I can start shopping for the Secret Santa Exchange to help ease the pain.

Tess I got a question. Now that your cats are trained will they use any toilet in the house? Just curious or will they continue to use the toilet they were trained on? Because if so then I should maybe consider training them on a toilet not everyone uses. Do you still use the white toilet seat that came with the kit? Or does that get put away after training? All this thinking has got me going. I want to start my current cat but dont want to mess her up when the new kitty comes. Im sure Ill have to let the kitty get comfortable with us all and the house before I start training on her. And therefore during that I dont want to confuse my current cat with a litter box around the house well maybe it wont be to bad if I try and just teach the new kitty that the box is in the bathroom from day one. Ah ha what a bright idea! Sphynxie Im getting ahead of myself and hoping that cats will train themselves. Better yet come trained. Ohh the efforts we believe of our animals. Sometimes I think my pets are smarter than my Hubby. Not Me, My Hubby!!!

Thanks! I just put the box back in the bathroom this morning and going to start all over again. She's extremely smart I just think she's being stubborn. She learned how to open my bedroom door so I know she can learn to use the toilet (she also sits on command - for a treat that is haha).
