I am wiped out. Wed 29th had CT, chemo and set up for radiology Thursday the 30th. She did well. They told us she probably wouldn't eat. Not so, ravenous. Cancer is not melanoma which would have been better because there is a vaccine used for a long time on dogh which seems to work on cats as well. They are treating as carcinoma and quickly since so aggressive. Five radiology each a week apart and five chemo each 3 weeks apart. Next May 20.

So we've had 2 radiology. Three weeks left to end of May. Second chemo 20th. Then 3 more.

Company hubby works for consolidated and his last day is July 15.

We may only be buying a year but she is my heart cat and why I'm working at this advanced age and most of all she does not appear to be suffering.
She is playing, loving her automatic feeder and enjoying the sun behind their UV barrier. So who am I to take her life when I can scrape together the means to save it?

We just let her sister go 2 months plus a day ago. This is clearly different.

Haven't posted in a while. Foxy is on her last 2 chemos because they added one if she can tolerate it. Then her full body scan which I thought it was going to be after last chemo but not. Without vet visits every week she has really noticed Biscuit is gone and is closer to us than ever. She has developed a conspiratory relationship with Toni where Toni unlocks her feeder for Foxy to eat the regular food instead of her pricey prescription food. They sit on the windowsill together alot of the day but Toni hasnt decided that Foxy is a good source of cuddly warmth. I dont think Foxy would mind. Foxy’s hair grows in, covering the “X” on her back for the radiation. Her cancer was determined to be a rare textbook case sweat glad carcinoma. I found it in the Merck Veterinary manual, looking so much like hers that I could think they used hers. And the moving finger moves on….

@tuffysmommy , always on my heart and mind my friend. Foxy is a warrior princess! I never heard of this type of cancer. all paws crossed for her scan.
warms my heart Foxy and Toni on sit on the window sill together.. lol, too funny Toni unlocking her feeder to share. I can just picture the shenanigans.

Foxy died Sunday afternoon on the way to the vet. She had a very usual nice day for her. In and out of window, scooting down the armchair from the window ledge, eating from her feeder. She was eating 2 cans kidney food a day. Came from window last time jumped on my shoulder as i was dosing in the chair, lay on the bed/rug beside the feeder sort of breathing harder than usual. I became concerned and after deciding that taking her temperature was going to be an ordeal for all, we packed up and sped to the ER. When we got there we opened the carrier and she was gone. Foxy did it her way. I had been on full alert to make the decision but she had her own idea. Two nights prior, Toni decided to sleep in the living room. I think she knew. She is grieving badly now as we all are and is spending her days on the couch in a blankie. She has done alot of talking since Sunday but today is calmer though not staying alone. I dont know if she wants to be single or have a playmate. I guess we will find out. Foxy was my heart cat. My heart is broken.

@tuffysmommy , ((squeeze hugs to you and Shel and extra kisses to Toni)) my heartfelt condolences sweet warrior princess Foxy gained her angel wings. No time is ever enought I know too well. She truly could not have asked for better parents, love and care beyond measure. Bestest mum n dad. She struck gold in your hearts and home and lives in your hearts forever and ever. Remember the love, soo much love. I am glad we were able to talk this evening. here for you always like you are for me on the journey of life. anytime call me for an extra ear to listen. May our babies be running free at the bridge sharings stories of all the love in this world. Rest in love Sweet Foxy, you touched my heart. Lightening a candle for Foxy.
