There was no abscess or pocket of infection found, just an inflammation of his small bowel. His white blood cell count has gone down a little bit, but his overall condition/behavior hasn't changed for the better. There is now the strong thought it is Lymphoma. Currently a steroid and another antibiotic/anti-inflamitory has been added to his medication. He is also getting a lot of lovin'.

So sorry to hear this blood tests also help hang in there :)

Thanks, we're trying. Unfortunately the multiple blood tests he's had have not helped. Everything is normal except for an elevated white blood cell count, yet he's not running a fever and they can't find the source of infection. :( So far today though, he seems to be more aware which is good to see.

Oh no! I hope they get to the bottom of this and that it turns out to be something that can be treated easily. We have all of our fingers and paws crossed here for Toothy.

I had posted an update yesterday, but it seems to have disappeared into the Never Never, so I'll try again. Saturday afternoon he became very unresponsive and cool and we thought it wouldn't be long before he was gone. However he surprised us all by getting up on his own Sunday morning and eating dry kitten food. He is still weak and somewhat wobbly, but we're giving him subq fluids as well as the 2 antibiotics and the steroid - and feeding him frequently to try to help him regain his strength. It is a day by day thing and we're not sure what each day will hold, but whatever this is, he seems to be fighting, and as long as he is and he doesn't seem to be in pain, we'll continue to fight with him. He is scheduled to have another CBC on Thursday to check his white blood cell count and see if we need to change one of his antibiotics.

Thank you for all of your continued prayers.
