From what I was told by the rescue coordinator, she is on the road to recovery. Her name is Phoenix, and she has been being treated for severe burns. The adoptive mom in MA has experience rehabbing burned dogs and first offered to foster Phoenix, but after several emails and phone calls with shelter staff opted instead for adoption, all paperwork is done, now she just needs a ride to her forever home. Our leg of it is the only one that wasn't covered, it's only about an hour's drive. I couldn't see two hours of my time preventing this girl from getting to a permanent loving home. It's really minimal effort on my part and huge rewards for the dogOur poor guy hope he is ok.
I can't wait to take some pics for ya'll
They don't know, she was brought in with severe burns that had started to scab, but she had been scratching at it so much it was raw. Poor thing is missing part of her eyelid on the burned side, but she was sooo happy and sweet!
