I was flagged down by a neighbor here in Florida , who says a tripod tabby cat was abandoned a few weeks ago. This terrible woman moved out and abandoned the tripod kitty to fend for herself. The neighbor felt sorry and has fed her. They never came back for this cat. I know for a fact this is a legit story.. I have known this retired couple for 9 years. They let "Tripod" in their garage (which is immaculate and set up like room ) to get out of the pouring rain. She used the litter box. She is super friendly and likes tummy rubs.

Does anyone know of a tripod rescue in the Daytona Beach , FL area?
We would love to get this special kitty an inside forever home perhaps as an only kitty.
I stopped and saw kitty yesterday - laying in the neighbors mulch.
She? ( Has no balls visible and no raisins) looks rough on the outside and a big mush inside. She looks like a marbled bengal mix- swirl ticked coat pattern with the orange undercoat belly spots- brick red nose and chin strap. She has been a tripod for awhile and has a shortened tail and crinkled ears.
Here is her picture the neighbors took in their garage.

This is an exceptional kitty
Please- if anyone can help PM me

I contacted spots and stripes cat rescue in Florida - they will post pics and see of someone can foster her in the area.
I told the retired couple I would work with them to acclimate Tripod into their home. They are concerned because their cat is declawed :(
They are going away for a week and I offered to kitty sit/train at their house, complimentary just to get this kitty a good forever home.
I gave them info on the low cost non profit spay/shot clinic.. They are great folks and love kitties too.
Hopefully Tripod will get her forever home

These people need to be reported. If you all know them and where they moved.
I would report them. This is horrible. I pray This precious baby finds a wonderful forever home. I would take her if I was closer and didn't have any other cats.
Please keep us updated about Tripod.

** the neighbors are going to give Tripod a chance - they said they will try it for a few weeks and see how it goes with their "lucky" kitty who is declawed( don't know if Lucky was rescued that way)
I encouraged positive training and scratching post training :)
Keep prayers coming all works! I will visit and see how things are going and what assistance they may need in the transition.

Tripod update :)

I saw the neighbor of for a walk and asked how a tripod was adjusting to indoor life.

Tripod is lovin life indoors - :)

Their other kitty "Lucky "- a rescue from Indiana -( they moved here with years ago) is separated for now and knows there are new paws in the house :)

They are taking it slow and giving it a chance - keep Lairs prayers coming that Tripod has her furever home.

Tripod update! :) yah! :)

I stopped by and visited Tripod who was kindly adopted by my retired neighbors . I told them I would work with them to get her squared away on her shots and getting her acclimated to indoor living ..I loaned them my crate and gave them ccfaw.org info for shots. Tripod is now UTD on her shots- she has a wonderful indoor life- She let me trim her nails and I gave her lots of belly rubs while she lounged comfortable purring and snoozing her new pampered home! She settle right in using the custom adjusted litter box for her needs without any problems and has a nice comfy new bed!
She is officially spoiled ! ( Shame on the lady who abandoned her 3 legged cat to fend for herself when she moved out)

I am soo happy Tripod got her furever home and I can visit!

Update: Got a call Last night from Tripods new mum- my heart sank at first when she said she had a problem-

:) phew.. She just wanted to know if I could stop by and show her how to clean poor tripods crinkled ears-

I brought over my Sphynx ear cleaning basket of supplies-Tripod did great! She let me clean her ears! Probably her first time she had cosmetic rounds and qtips with Trizultra cleaner applied- lots of gunk and I finished her "spa time" with a nail trim pedicure! She did great!

I donated my Trizultra and pads to her new mum -I had her try it- she was soo appreciative of my demo ear cleaning-
I told her with 4 Sphynx it's a ritual- :)

Tripod enjoyed her "spa day" and is comfortably napping now-

I am sooo thankful she found a great home! Tripod, new mum n dad are happy- the new mum said it's the first cat she has had that sleeps with her at night. Her resident cat Lucky (rescue too) has adjusted well to the 3 legged new comer living inside the house full time:)
