trying out a new lens

I decided to by myself a macro lens. I have looked for so long but could never bring myself to justify actually doing it, but I figure I get more use out of it than I do many other things. Thank you @Mr. Catzzz and @MyCatGoesNekkid for your nod on the right lens to buy. Now I have to learn how to use it...lol. Here is my first try. Jouët was my model.

thanks @zoinks I am a bit intimidated to try to take courses in photography. Maybe some day. I just go with what feels good. It helps when you love what you are taking pics of though...thank goodness for digital cameras! BTW my fav was the first pic too.

Nice! I wouldn't mind one. Right now I just used my fixie to tackle the cat pics.

@andreanar - A macro lens is for very close up photography. It allows for closer shots while still allowing enough light into the lens to get a good picture without a ridiculously slow shutter speed. (If that makes sense). :D
