@Yoda mom I'm going to jump, scream, cry and laugh when they give a diagnosis with a treatment for speedy recovery. Thanks for keeping fingers and paws crossed!
As soon I know the results I'll let you all know!

@MelissaAlice : positive thoughts, thanks I can use them. You're right. I just wait for the results that will tell which treatment Toa needs. And in a few weeks I'll be complaining here that Toa has so much energy that he drives me crazy...oh I hope so!!

Maybe you all have advise for the cat litter eating? : what can I do to prevent Toa from eating cat litter when I'm not at home?

The last week Toa is eating cat litter. I know it's called Pica and it's caused by him not feeling well. The last five days I could stay home all day with him to watch him sleep and stop him when he wanted to eat catlitter. Tomorrow I have to work and will be away for 9-10 hours.

I tried a different type of litter, that's more like sand. But Toa eats this one too. I tried only old newspapers but he eats that too and he and Ross refuse to accept that as a "toilet". My vet tells me not to worry about him eating catlitter.
I know Toa is ill enough to worrie not about eating cat litter. But still I want to protect him as much as I can.

I think only thing you can go is if his that instant that no matter what he eats all you can do is get one that isn't toxic

Thanks! I have biocat cat litter. They say it's not toxic. Probably I'm just to worried about everything. I guess I just have to buy extra bags of catlitter:wideyed:

@Toa and Ross (((Hugs))))
Would a small dog or puppy kong with treats and a tiny bit canned food distract him from litter eating? ** I Just read the kitty version kong is not that durable- can be dangerously chewed
So skip the kitty version please

I use black extreme dog kongs for my big boys without any problems

**For stress relief and comfort- give him a pair of socks you just took off your feet :)

It works better than Feliaway plug ins with my Macie who has pica with plastic bags-

Macie Bengal was very shy and nervous when we adopted her-
I was at wits end trying Feliaway , essential oils-etc

Then I read about the "sock method"
They like to have something with your scent and I think it may help while you are at work

She now lays on her blankie sleeping with my socks total relaxed
I give her a new sock every other day :) and toss the others in the laundry

Wow. This sheds some light on things. Max loves to play in Hubby's freshly discarded socks at night. And what a great idea!

No FIP No FIP!
The vet just called me: the gamma globulines in Toa's blood are good so this means the chance is little Toa has FIP.

In his blood there are slight signs of anemia and of a chronic inflammation.

We don't have all the results yet, the results of the poop test will come monday. So waiting untillall the results are known to make up a plan.

I know there's still a long way to go but for now I'm just so happy it's not FIP. I'm in the train going back home and I'm dancing, laughing and crying.

Thanks for all you crossed fingers, prayers, positive thoughts, health vibes and support!

Good to know the kitten congs can't be trusted. I wanted to buy one so now I know I have to buy a dog version of the kong. Thanks.

I'm definitly going to try the socks! Mine smell terrible after a day I wore them so I hope Toa won't pass out when he smells my socks:D. But seriously, he always wants to be close to me so I think it will help him if he has something that smells like me.

Thanks for the advice!

Oh my gosh - I just read this thread and I held my breathe scrolling through and I thought my heart was about to jump out of my chest.
I am SOOO relieved for you, I could cry (but I'm at work, so I shouldn't!)
I will keep Toa in my thoughts - I truly hope the little guy feels better very soon.

Yeah I can breath again now I know it's not FIP!
I just come and almost kissed Toa to death;)

Thanks for the continuing positive vibes. Still need cause I saw that the diarrhea is back again after one "good poop". So guess the antibiotics stopped working or the hypo allergenic food doesn't help.
But that are concerns for tomorrow. Now I'm just happy!:joyful:

Such good news! I hope they are able to pinpoint what's wrong now and get him on a proper treatment :)

Thanks! I do hope that they pinpoint out what's wrong cause he's not okay and there's something wrong. But for now I'm just sooooo relieved and happy!
