@Mermaidmania , hello, I just got off phone with petco ..again .. their fraud dept Never called back from the original hack date.

I had to hold about 5 minutes. I did not opt for the call back feature.

I requested a copy of the refund reference number be emailed to me
.. I confirmed the email to send to (because my acct email was hacked changed to the same but with slenco.com I never heard of)

I've got an update too. The $181 charged to paypal was refunded. I checked the tracking info and the label was created but it never shipped so looks like they aren't going to ship it. On one side I feel victorious..... on the other side I'm hoping some dog isn't eating because of it!

Dear Sphynlair members, I also was notified on 08/07/2022 of dog food ordered that was charged to my credit card using my account with a billing address OLDER than one year old. It was to be delivered to a lady unknown to me. I called her and she had ordered dog food on EBAY and paid for it by Paypal. We notified Petco numerous times of the fraud and or data breach and NOTHING had been reported except on your site. I am wondering HOW BIG this data breach may actually be.

wow, will need to check my paypal, ebay etc.. I am going over each account and changing passwords , removing credit cards, bank accts.

petco would only tell me they are getting lots of calls and it was an outside source. no further details. I tried calling where dog food was delivered in a different state and the phone was disconnected. I had to call Petco and ask for a supervisor in the "back office" to handle my refund. I never heard back from petco about the fraud.

******* check all your accounts... I just got an email that an order thru my petflow account was denied ( I had closed the credit card I had on file with petco)... I logged in petflow... scammers changed auto ship, put on her name, address in MN using my credit card but it was closed already.

I deleted my account completely

Yesterday I received a purchase confirmation for a small animal in Glen Cove, NY. I am half way across the country. Red fags went up on so many levels you would not believe.

I would have dismissed it as a phishing email only except they had my full name, old address, and phone number. Today, I received another email to a different email address asking how satisfied I was with the Glen Cove store. Anyone who has my full name, etc., and two email addresses for me knows more than they should by guessing.

Belled Petco and held for more than 30 minutes and still could not speak to a supervisor. Did a quick google search, and found your thread. Filed a complaint with their corporate office in San Diego.

For all members with a petco account, please call petco customer service Directly asap (877) 738- 6742 to verify ALL your information, including your email, phone number, etc is correct. I recommend changing your password asap.
Today my bank sent an email about a purchase thru petco I could not log into my petco account. I called customer service. They said they could not access my account as my email, phone number not on file. I have been a member for 20+ years. Two hours later, the back office was able to access my account and see the fraudulent order for dog food. The rep told me my name, address, phone number, email was changed! I verified I did not know the name/info now on my account.
Apparently data was compromised and ALL my account info, email, phone number, address was changed and an order placed with my credit card on file shipped to an out of state address.
Petco customer service rep said they have a known issue with an outside source accessing personal accounts. They stated they sent emails but I never received because all my info was already changed. Petco could not even send me an email tonight to change/edit my account. They had to contact the "back office".
They said I was not the only one. Several other accounts compromised by an outside source.
I closed my credit card and petco stopped the shipment of the fraudulent order and will refund . Their fraud department will contact me in 24/48 hours about transferring pals rewards, Nova ChatGPT Mod APK.

If your Petfow account has been hacked, here are some steps you can take to protect your account and restore control:

Change the password:

update: recently had problems logging in again after all those steps taken. It now sends a message stating need to enter a 6 digit verification code. I tried for 2 weeks and never get the email. I contacted customer service at least 5 times in past 2 weeks. They are unable to resolve issue. They said they are working with the issue and the 6 digit verification should be deleted by the end of the year. Yikes . I cannot get in my account to manage autoships. I called and cancelled my autoships. Will no longer be using Petflow.

I am able to get my Nutrisource cat food at K9cuisine. I have purchased from the company for nearly a decade and never an issue. Margaret the representative always answers/or returns calls asap. The pricing is good too with autoship discount. Food comes packaged carefully in extremely thick sturdy boxes compared to many pet supply companies.
