Update on How Shiva is Doing

What "booties" are you refering to? Where would I get them? As to the cone I don't think it would work well. He is off balance, I'm afraid he'd get hurt. He is'nt using his front paw properly.

Well at least I'll know something today. I'm pretty sure we are dealing with a bone infection so he probably will lose part of his paw. Now it's a matter of finding out how bad it is and if he has the ability to recover from it. One of the side effects of being a diabetic is that he heals slow. Which is why he's in the shape he's in right now.

He had a cyst early this year and it still hasn't healed.

So after tonight I won't hear anything until Friday.

Shiva went to the vet today and he does need surgery. The visit went pretty good aside from Shiva suceeding in getting to his foot. (amazingly it looked better after he got ahold of it for a few) He also was fierce in the face of the vet. He hissed and growled while laying there getting his foot worked on.

I posted the details about the surgery in the health questions section. I'm totally drained and numb. I'll post more later.
