@carmenlucia I adopted a 10 year old very sick sphynx I fondly referred to as "Grandma" from a hoarding situation. Although she was not on this earth long with me her gratitude toward me is something I will never forget. It broke my heart when she passed but I know I was able to make her time here better. God bless you for taking Karen

@Paris that is a beautiful story and that is exactly how I feel about Karen. She cuddles with me so intently, like she never wants to let me go. It warms my heart because I know she's never felt that love before. Even though I feel smothered at times because she has no concept of personal space I always let her snuggle in with me❤️

@GoldHazel or @Catzzzmeow or I guess anyone really... do Sphynx grow hair in the colder weather?? Karen has always had a little fuzz on her tail and legs but the past few weeks she has a full on coat coming in on those areas. I'm just curious if this is a breed trait or it's the steroids or what??

Thanks❤️

@Carmen Lucia yes, they sure do grow areas of fuzz or fur in the colder months. It's very common, not all do, but again, it's very common. When the Spring comes, the fur or fuzz disappears.

How is Karen doing? I think of her often as she's our miracle girl, but I don't want to bother you often.

If you have a heated blanket throw, that might be a good idea for her to lay on. It will help warm her extremities.

@GoldHazel thank you for the explanation I leave piles of blankets for her all over the house, I'll dig out our warming blanket for her favorite place to lay since that's upstairs in a cooler part of the house.

Karen is doing great!! I can't believe how much her personality has changed since coming here. I was actually able to trim her nails and give her a spot bath tonight. I used to not even be able to hold her without her freaking out.

I love her so much.
❤️

I couldn't believe, those pics, of Karen.
I somehow, missed them.
She doesn't even look like the same cat.
How wonderful, she looks. I loved, those pics
and your update of her.
Knowing, what, she, has been through.
Thank you, again, for the love you have in your
heart, to, take her, do all you have for her.
It brings joy to my heart.

@Carmen Lucia you are very welcome.
I'm so happy to hear that Karen is doing great and that she's so much more trusting now and let's you do what you have to do without her freaking out. What's not to love?...LOL, she's a sphynx! :) :) :)
