Angel, I don't even have the words to say how I feel right now. I am so sorry for you, for Rupert (Poopy), and for Orion... Also for Priscilla (who I hope is healthy), but losing her big brother....

There has been so much loss on the Lair lately and I never imagined your absence in the last week or two would be devastating news such as this.

I am crying as I write this because I love Rupert as well... as does everyone here. You are NOT alone in this. We are all suffering with you... and we will all stand by you to support the hard decisions you have to make, as well as be there for you to vent and to mourn one day.

I just wish you and Rupert some happy, loving, and snuggly time left together. I also wish you the strength to make a very hard decision when you know the time is right.

We love you and Rupert and we are here for you. I am sooooo sorry that the two of you are going through this.

Im sorry you are having all this at once on you. And yes ive been away from the lair a while and this is alot of losses for such a small community.

I understand the depression aspect. My roommates dogs give me a reason to wake up and not stay in bed in the dark all day. I work 9 hrs a week and that leaves alot of time to crawl into your own mind. Which for people like us is detrimental. It will be hard but if you grow from this, it will be worth it. Exercising the heart is hard but there are rewards from it. You'll see eventually. ::HUGS::

I can't even imagine what you are going through right now. Reading your posts and all of the kind words that have been said have brought me to tears. You are so brave and I am in absolute awe of your strength. You and Rupert are in my thoughts and I will be praying that you make it through this without spiraling back into depression. I've experienced severe depression twice - when my dad passed away and postpartum depression after my daughter was born - so I can relate. I am here for you if you ever want to talk. PM me anytime you'd like. I'm pulling for you. HUGS.

Oh Angel I am so sorry to read this. I feel so bad for you and sweet Poopy. I know your heart is breaking in a thousand pieces. I wish I could say something to make you feel better. Please just remember that Rupert came in to your life for a reason. No matter how bad things may feel, please remember little Rupert would not want you to ever go to that dark place again.

Hugs,
Kris

Oh dear.. this post makes me more sad then words can express. I'm so very very sorry to hear of Rupert and his illness. I'm so sorry you are having to make such a horribly tough decision.
my thoughts and prayers are definitely with you and your family. i'm so very sorry :(

I can definitely relate to the things Shauntay said about Rupert coming back to you in a healthy life. Bronx-e is terminally ill. And although they only gave him 1-3 months (the dr leaned closer to 1 month) it's thankfully been 6 months and he's still here. a month before Bronx-e was diagnosed being sick Winny came to live with us. I can't even explain to you the similarities in their personalities, it's amazing really. Although she is her own "person" and isn't his replica... she's definitely similar to him.
You said you wanted to record his purr, again i totally understand that. As i recorded Bronx-e's too.
You mentioned you can't look at him because you're so upset and everytime you do you cry. The first month bronx-e was diagnosed i held him in my arms EVERY chance i got a just held him, in fear that, that moment would be my last moment to hold him. I can't imagine how you're feeling, but know of a similiar feeling to yours. **hugs**
I will pray for you on Saturday. and pray he makes it over smoothly. If you feel it's his time, you're the only one who knows him best. I considered putting Bronx-e down numerous times. i remember all the times that Susie would tell me "he'll show you when he's ready".... "you know him best, you'll know".... a momma always knows her babies.
