My Elle Kat's left eye has been sqintted and water since thanksgiving. She was playing with the puppies and must have gotten poked in the eye. I took her to the vet and he said it was just irritated and gave her some eye drops. I just does not seem to be getting better. It does not seem to bother her but I am kinda worried. I was just wanting some one else's opinion.

Poor baby! Have you told the vet that it has not improved? If the drops were only for irritation, they may not help a bacterial infection that could have developed. If the vet still thinks that this is okay, I would definitely get a second opinion!

Did they stain her eye to look for an ulcer? I would take her back for a recheck it should have healed by now if just irritation, but holding it shut usually means they have some sort of scratch on the cornea and that can leave permanent damage. Better safe than sorry! Good luck!

I took Elle to the vet and they stained her eye again there were no signs of trauma. He said the only thing he noticed was her sensitivity to the light. Her eyes look the same and he said her lids were normal. They do not have any swelling and do not turn outward like if the duct was blocked. He gave me another round of antibiotics to try for 2 more weeks and then I may need to take her to a Specialist.. But in his opinion the problems is not very serious.. So I am no closer to an answer.. I am just sad her big green eyes won't shine anymore :(
