What is the weirdest pet you have ever owned? I must say our Uromastyx lizard was the strangest. There is a story that goes with this guy. We attempted to walk him on a leash and he ended up doing an alligator death roll entangling himself in his own leash, in an attempt to help him, I threw a towel over him and he began biting and death rolling on the towel. It was quit the mess! We ended up taking him back to our pet store (the owner is good that way) due to his vicious nature!:Dizzy::Surprise::Hysterical:

I had a RAven for a few days....but it died. We found it on the highway, and were hoping it just had a broken wing and would keep it as a pet if we werent able to re release it (because it couldnt fly).
Unfortunately it had a broken hip.....so we had to euthanise him.
I was heartbroken! Im terrified of birds but have a passion for ravens...our family is pretty goth and we drive a hearse so a raven would fit well with us.
It was a HUGE bird, had to put it in an extra large size dog crate while I was nursing it.
He/She was also very sweet. After feeding him (apricots and cat food) I would hold out newspaper to him and he would wipe his beak on it...which was terrifying for me to have his large sharp beak that close to my fingers....but he never missed and pecked me.

WOW! ! ! You two have had some very very unusual "pets" ! Wish I could have had that experience. I just had frogs, turtles, etc etc... and of course just plain ole birds, hampsters, mice, hamsters, guinea pigs, fish, turtles, dogs, and cats... typical kid stuff!

Um You tried walking him :Woo: after I told you it was not a great idea then screamed for help because you where afraid you where gona get bit.
I stayed clear away from it and threw the food in the cage and ran. I really wish someone would have told me that you should rinse tofu everyday because that is what it ate and the fridge smelled horrible. :Hysterical:

I've had all sorts of creepy crawlies and stuff over the years as I used to breed all sorts of snakes and lizards as a side business. Had a ton of weird fish as well. I'm a nut when it comes to animals. I don't know about how weird some of these are to other people, but my different species of freshwater stingray were perfectly normal to me, although they could send you to the hospital, as well as my fly river turtle. I've since gotten rid of everything and am solely a sphynx owner, but still miss all of them. I'll attach a picture of my old tank when I find it.

I had a mini pot bellied pig. His name was Bacon. he was soooo smart! Unfortunatley he decided that dogs taste wonderful, so he went to live on a personal farm that teaches kids about animals. he is very happy there. However he was kennel trained and dog door trained. He loved sleeping under blankets and his most loved treat was Trix cereal!

I also had a fahaka puffer fish. They are one of the very few freshwater puffers and grow to be 18 inches in lenght! He would follow us around the tank and spit water at us if the top was open. He ate live crayfish and frozen octopus and other fresh seafood. Very aggressive towards other fish and lived by himself in a 150g tank. He slept under the sane with just his chameleon eyes out!

@Admin, you should have called Butterball :Hysterical::Hysterical:
Well, I had 3 baby Skunks:Dizzy: their Mother got ran over in the Highway
and there the little things sat, my heart was broke of course.
I got them, and this, out in the wild man told me what to do
and how to care for them, and I found out the girls are the ones
with the long white streak down their backs, and tails. They are the
meanest also. I had 1 girl and 2 boys. I kept them a few months
I gave them baths and they were litter trained. After a few months
one of the boys bit me while I was giving him a bath, not bad, just
a little bite. My Husband told me I was not going to keep those things
because we could end up with rabies and I would not get the wild out
of them. So, he took them and turned them loose in the woods.
Plus, I don't know when they would start spraying and I sure didn't
want that in my house:Badly::Badly: But, they sure was cute as babies.

Aww thats awesome. They are suppose to be very great pets actually. You can purchase them from breeders and get them in all sorts of colors. They can be de-scented as well. I hear that they are just like cats! Unfortunatly they are illegal to keep as pets in Texas since we have such a high incidents of rabies:Frown:

They are very smart. I don't know if it's legal here in Tenn. to de-sent
them or not, or legal to have them.

Ha! I had a fahaka and a mbu puffer that were about 12" when I sold them. They made great pets, but were very messy eaters, LOL. Another one that was great and made a big mess was my australian lungfish.

Instead of buying me s hairless cat when I was a kid after taking me to a cat show, my parents instead saw a hairless hamster at a pet store and purchased that for me. I'll put a pic of her up as soon as I am on my desktop. Apparently s $10 hamster is a lot cheaper- comes with a 7 day warranty too. Her name was Pinky.

I also had a pet moth named Smoothy. I kept it in a a salad bowl (the clam shell take out kind). That little bug lasted a while summer in there! And yes, I was also a kid with the moth.

I had a pet tarantula named Anansi. She was lovely amd actually quite affectionate. I used to handle her a lot....she died after about two years and I was devastated. As a kid I had a ton of animals but none of them too weird..a chipmunk, a lamb, a duck, turtles, fish, lots of animals.

Two years ago our outside furry came up from out of the woods with a baby chipmunk, my husband got it away from him and we built a big cage out of chicken wire and made a house for him out of scrap wood, that same week our daughter starts screeming he"s got another one, this time my husband had to spray him with the hose to let go. We kept those chipmunks for almost 2 years on our deck ,they were so cute and had babies but 1 baby died .We gave them to a older couple and they still have them. They are a boy and girl we called them Chip and Dale. All our pictures are on my old computer will see if my honey can retrieve them for me.

Wow, those are some weird pets. I think the weirdest pet I had was a turtle. I used to catch them at the lake down the street. I think I had 5 or 6 at one point. I kept them for a summer and released them.

And you're right, Butterball would have tore that lizard up!

Here is his last video. He caught another.

I use to have 4 Bearded Dragons. They are just odd looking. I also use to have 2 Chinchillas, Chi Chi & Chongi. They were adorable. I have to say the strangest pet I ever had is my African Grey, Floyd. He throws up in my hand to show me his affections. UGH:Dizzy: But its the highest show of affection your parrot can give you if it really loves you a lot. He swears, coughs, burps, farts, sneezes, makes barfing sounds, barks & meows & just basically never shuts up. When my cats are chasing each other with or without the dog, he tells them all to knock it off or stop it. He will only bathe when I vacuum. He dunks his food in his water before eating it, & the list of weird things he does just goes on & on.

Yeah, I'd say that's a pretty weird bird, LOL!
