Hi Archibald! So handsome.

Have you ever been around a Sphynx before? Are you familiar with some of the special care they require?

We haven’t really been around them but had obviously done ALOT of research beforehand to make sure we could definitely cater for his needs etc.
He’s the most amazing little guy and I’ve never known affection like it from an animal!

I think the biggest difference is hygiene. It varies between cats, but generally you want to bathe every 2-4 weeks with an actual pet shampoo. My favorite is Hylyt brand.

Do you rub into the skin, or just put the shampoo in the bath and rub the water over them? Lots of conflicting info on that! Thank you for your help, this forum seems great!

No wrong or right way. But I use exfoliating gloves and lather the soap into those first, then shampoo, then rinse.

Whichever you do, it's important to rinse them thoroughly. Rankle doesn't like being lathered in the bath so I do it out of the bath then rinse him off. It makes for a happier time for both of us. However, I've had other cats in the past (Siamese) who absolutely love having baths. Every cat is different so just try to find what works for you guys.
