I realized after the fact that I had posted my origional post in the wrong forum section so I am switching to this one.
The original thread was the following;

I wanted to send a quick update on Gatsby.
We brought him to our vet today thinking that it would be the last time we spent with our sweet, beautiful angel. When we were at the emergency vet last night, they told us that Gatsby did not have any regenerating blood cells but put him on medication so that if it was a blood parasite or bone marrow immune deficiency, it would help to bring his blood count up but they did mention in brackets that it was likely neither of these things but they wanted to treat for it anyways just in case.
We went to our regular vet today to get Gatsbys blood count tested (we are suppose to do this every couple of days to monitor it). When our vet came to speak with us regarding Gatsbys blood count test, she told us that they had in fact gone up very slightly. The medications that he is on would not have kicked in yet so this means that his body did produce these on their own which is a very small glimmer of hope.
We are bringing him back to the vet on Friday to do another blood count test. That will help us determine the next course of action. The vet does not want to do the blood tranfusion yet because the blood transfusion will affect the test results.
If everyone could please continue to keep Gatsby in your thoughts and prayers! We are hoping for a miracle here, all the good vibes we can get will mean the world to us!
