Hi guys, hope I'm doing this in the right place... and if not, sorry.

I'd really like to know what colour you think my Pixie is... on her papers the breeder wrote black and white with green eyes. It seems to me the black might be blue... she has a little hair on her bum and it is definitely not black...

Also, I'm wondering whether her eyes are green or yellow... they appear one or the other depending on the light... could she have yellow-green eyes?

Sorry for the size of the pictures, I just can't figure out how to make them bigger... you can click on them to see them full size.
Thanks!

Ok, thanks!

It makes no difference to me... I was just wondering how come she has grey hair on her dark spots rather than black hair...

I'm not sure about the colour, though black tends to be a bit lighter in sphynx than with other breeds so keep that in mind.

Oh and btw, don't worry about the size of the pictures, they are meant to be that small they show up like that with everyone!

Thank for this info, Inflamed! That does explain the grey hair.

Really!?:Surprise: Can't believe I hadn't noticed that yet!!! Thanks!

This kit doesn't look black and white to me--she looks blue and white. But it is difficult to tell in a pic. Also if the hair is gray, and not black, I doubt she is black/white. She's lovely though. Her eyes are yellow from what I can see. But I am also not a color expert. Sometimes the only way to tell is a DNA test. I didn't know if I was going to be able to tell black from blue--until I had a Van kitten with black spots--I could plainly see the difference. ShaMoo from this past litter is a black/white Van, but in his pics he doesn't look that dark....but you see him in real life and those spots are BLACK. I can plainly see the difference. If there is a question in your mind if it's black, it's probably not black.

Here is a pic of Elvis- he is a blue an white bi color. His blue is definitely BLUE, it may look grey in the pics but in person (especially in natural light) his spots are straight BLUE. Your kit really looks black and white to me, but I am no color expert :)

And here is a pic of him next to his sister, a black and white bi color- and she is definitely black. it isn't a very good example, sorry! But Elvis is in the middle and his black/white bi color sister is on his left.

Thank to you all... it seems black in a sphynx just isn't a very definite colour... some are dark black and other are light black...

Big Hoss, I have to say I don't see much difference between your Bells and my Pixie...

Here are a couple more pictures to compare:

And while I'm at it... what do you think of her tail...? Besides the fact that it's extremely furry (more so than my cornish's tail...) isn't that the tail of a tabby???
