Hey so I have long been plagued by the issue of litter tracking all over my house, and have yet to find a solution. Frida uses wood pellet litter. She likes it and it is cheap and controls odour well so I definitely won’t switch litters, but what happens is that it disintegrates and she tracks it everywhere.

I think what I need is a good litter mat. If anyone has one they like I would love to know what kind it is and why you like it. Also I’m open to other solutions if you think of something I haven’t.

Thanks everyone.

I got a cheap $10 one from Walmart and it works great! I put it under the litter box so about half of it sticks out. I acutally had no idea how well it worked until I was vacuuming the bedroom and I picked it up to move it and I swear it looked like half a box of litter fell out of the thing! I've had it for months and no issues peeing on it, even with our 3 older cats who have never had one before.

Wow look at price difference when you consider the UK £ to the USA $
It’s something like £1 =$1:50
But this is amazon and not Walmart , Walmart is the Uk ASDA who is owned by the American sister company

I tried the hard plastic litter mats
But i had to clean it just as much as just daily sweeping .
Then I would spill amd make more of a mess lol

I keep a mini dustpan by each box and sweep each morning and before bed.
I keep a handheld Ryobi vacuum nearby too

Wow I can’t believe how many people have the issue of their kitties peeing on the mats! I didn’t even think of that. Frida is pretty particular about the exact spot in the box she pees on though so I’m not too worried. I mean it. Exactly the same spot. Lol.

I think I’ll give it a go. My issue isn’t really sweeping in front of the box. It is her tracking little flakes of the wood pellets all over the house. On the furniture. On the bed! I don’t have carpet in my house so there is nothing to even slow it down.
I’m hoping it will help.

Thanks for the feedback everyone!

I had the litter mat posted above from walmart I believe. I never had a problem with Agnes urinating on it until I had to use the paper litter for some time as she burned her little paw and couldn't use the usual litter. It was awful!! The litter was everywhere, and the paper disintegrated and we were left with soggy paper stuff. Needless to say, I was so happy to be done with that stuff but the mat was toast as well as I think she started using it because she didn't want to step in the box.
