Need an idea for dinner? Let's chat about it here!

I'm simmering some prego with diced red pepper and a pepperoncini. After it's finished, I'll shred some mozzarella over it. The two best mozzarellas I've ever tasted are Hennings from Wisconsin and Joseph's from (surprisingly) California. If CA has something good, I should see if Vermont has a nice, hard mozza.

I make a killer potato leek soup with cream cheese and sour cream. It tastes like a loaded baked potato and is delicious! A big piping hot bowl of that, some crusty boule bread and some swiss cheese and I am in hog heaven!

We got these amazing thick cut pork chops from Sam's club so I might bread and quick brown them on each side and then bake and then smother in gravy and then bake some more, and make my killer mashed potato casserole to go along with it!!!

Nothing special here. My husband had porkchops. I'm not a fan of those so I made waffles!!! I ate way too much and now I'm snuggling with Nipsey :)

I had an Eggo waffle  Having some technology issues at work so I have been coming home every night and logging on until I go to bed...the night before I had a bowl of Cheerios.

Looks like the problem will be fixed today and I am going out for a good dinner with my Mom

Susi, can you PM me your recipe? Or is it a secret? I love potato leek soup!

Here it is:
Susi's Cheesy Leek Potato Soup
4 cups water
1 can of evaporated skim milk
1 8oz. package of low fat or fat free cream cheese
4 oz. of fat free sour cream
8-10 Yukon Gold potatoes, diced into bite sized pieces
1 large onion, diced
1 package of dry leek soup mix ( I use Knorr's)
fresh leeks, chopped to desired thickness (I just recently started adding these...mmmm!)
2-3 of the 15oz.cans of chicken broth--depending upon how juicy you like your soup
2T dried or fresh chives
2T dried or fresh parsley
1/2T garlic powder
1/2 lb. diced ham
salt and pepper to taste

In the crock pot: Add all ingredients except the milk, cream cheese and sour cream. Cook on low for 8-10 hours. During the last hour of cooking, add the remaining ingredients.

On top of the stove: Add all ingredients except the milk, cream cheese and sour cream. Bring to a boil. After 5-10 min of boiling, add the remaining ingredients and reduce the heat to medium or low and cook until potatoes are tender.

I promise it's to die for!

Better yet! Here is the link to the thread I posted it in--my soup is the first recipe posted but decided to just give you the link cuz there are some yummo recipes there. I recently started adding the chopped fresh leeks, so that isn't part of the original recipe. http://www.sphynxlair.com/f31/sphynxlair-recipe-box-12743/

There is also another thread that is called "What's Your Favorite Summer Recipe?" with some great stuff too....

Enjoy!

It was my birthday, so we went out for sushi. Last night, we met some friends at a pub for some good pub foods. Then tomorrow, we'll be joining some relatives for seafood. I'm never going to lose weight. x_x

I'll give that soup a try!

is a baked pastry, made by placing uncooked filling typically of meat and vegetables on a flat pastry circle and folding it to wrap the filling, crimping the edge to form a seal. Delicious.

I haven't had one in a year and I just enjoyed a nice dinner of such with my grandparents.

We eat those all of the time at my house! My mom passed the pah-sty baton on to me, she always complained about how Long they took to make and one night I made them and said this took about :0 min, why are you complaining?? And so now it's my job! I make them about once a week or so! I seriously enjoy the left overs! Mmmm.
