What’s the fascination ??

hi there ,
So what is the fascination with my lampshade ??
She keeps going under the shade when it’s turned off as though she is checking out the bulb !
Now I have teeth marks all around the lampshade !!
It took me ages to get the match with my curtains etc now I’m going to have to pay £20 for a new shade
Now my question is am I throwing good , money after bad ? Meaning will she bite the new one ?
Now there is the exact same lamp and shade By the side of the bed my hubby sleeps on , that she just never even touched once !!
Last night she was doing her gymnastics
Running up the bed bouncing off my head ( yes you will look at me like that little madam. She knows we are speaking about her ) anyway after the head bouncing she ran all alone the unit , jumped off the unit onto her cat tree , then jumps on the bed and it all begins again !! Until it’s kissy kissy time , then she curls up with me for a while before abandoning me to wrap herself around hubby’s head ....
back to lamp shade ( I’m terrible for digressing ) should I buy new or just leave this cause she will attack the new one also ?

We just repaired the corners of our very expensive bed with duct tape. Every cat that has been in the house with the bed, 3 furries and Cleopatra, never even thought about sharpening their claws on the bed. Then Marcus came along. He was pretty much raised in the breeder's bedroom, and I think she just allowed them to use the bed as a sharpening post. So you have my sympathies, but I have no idea what you can do to stop her from chewing...

Hi there to be honest it’s the only thing she as chewed , and we have a leather bed so you would think she would have gone for that , the lamp is a touch lamp and she knows how to turn it on lol

I am not really upset with her as she is still a baby but of all the things she chose my lampshade ah ha , I won’t buy new just yet as you say I think she will do it again
