How can my 15 week old boy be eating 16 ounces a day?? He started off eating 12 oz (4 oz. 3 x a day) and now all of a sudden he's eating 4 ounces, 4 times a day. Lordy! I mean, do they go through growth spurts like human children, where they eat more? He's getting alot more active--jumping, playing, being mischievous, etc.. But just seems like he's always hungry and I end up feeding him more and more. When will his eating habits balance out to become more "normal"?

Thank you!

Arlo certainly is a cutie pie!

I'd like an answer to this one too!
Toothless is up and down like a yo-yo.
One day she eats everything I give her and then tries to push Elfie away from her bowl and the next she hardly eats what I give her!

They are growing babies!! Marcus and Cleopatra did exactly the same thing when they were young. Marcus is still growing through growth spurts, but they are not as extreme as when he was tiny. Cleo is still starving--but she just grows sideways--sigh...

Yes, especially if you feed raw. When Max was about that age he'd eat so much that I thought he was going to pop (his belly would bulge like mad), and then in no time it would be absorbed into his body (and he'd be very active). So yes, they CAN eat that much and then some! *is laughing a little*

Sphynx breed will normally eat more anyway. Because of their
high metabolism and staying warm. Especially as a young kitten
and cat. Feed him

How can you resist that teeny tiny little kitten face anyway?

Bottomless pits they are at that age! Amazing they can put that much food away and still walk lol. I thought I'd need a second and third job to keep my girls fed at that age.
