Wonky tooth?

Hi,
I haven’t posted before but have read a lot of great advice on this site since I got my first sphynx, Ziggy, just over a year ago. I’m hoping someone can offer some advice about my kitten Elphie. She is nearly 6 months old and happy and healthy. She is teething and since her bottom pointy tooth (I don’t know what it’s called!) has come through she keeps catching her top lip on it giving her the appearance of snarling! I don’t know if it’s come through at a wonky angle (it looks ok from what I can see) or it’s jusf that it’s a big tooth for her little head or what. It’s not stopping her eating or drinking and doesn’t seem to be bothering her. Should I see the vet? I’m not sure what they would be able to do anyway? I’ve attached a couple of photos though they’re not the best but you might get the idea!
Thank you in advance of any help.
Jo

I’ll do my best - she’s asleep at the minute so it might be tomorrow - I never seem to have my phone to hand when she’s showing her snaggly tooth! It’s not out all the time.

Here are a couple of pics - the tooth looks really wonky in one of the photos but it doesn’t look that bad in real life if you see what I mean. Anyway, any advice would be appreciated - thank you!

At 6 months they have a whole heck of a lot going on with teeth shifting and losing them. Can you by chance see if the wonky one is a new tooth growing overtop top of the one they are about to lose? Some times the baby teeth are slow to fall out and they push things around. I’d keep an eye and you can check with your vet if the baby teeth are not falling out.

I wouldn't worry too much if it doesn't seem to be bothering her I would just keep a close eye on it and if anything changes maybe see a vet for some expert advice. Like others have said 6months is still during their teething stage and lots is happening in their mouths so it could just be something that will change/fix on its own. But some cats do just have snaggle teeth and do have that look and live happy healthy lives. She is super cute with her snaggle tooth either way I cant get over her little face!

Aw, she’s cute, and it gives her character! If it’s not bothering or inhibiting her in anyway, it’s probably just fine. Like others mentioned, sometimes the new teeth come in right on top of the baby teeth and causes one to poke out. I’d look it over to make sure she’s not ‘doubled-stacked’ (like shark teeth). Usually, this works itself out in it’s own time, but sometimes a vet will have to intervene.
Otherwise, that may just be her thang. Reminds me of that adorable golden retriever that went viral bc he had braces!! To this day one of the cutest things I’ve ever seen! :giggle: His teeth were much much worse, and causing him difficulties eating. Both your nakeds are fabulous and I love their names!
