Working From Home? How's Your Baby(ies) doing?

Hi Everyone!

I haven't been the most active on the forum, but hoping to become more involved!

I'm working from home due to this god, awful pandemic. However, I've had the last several months to bond with my baby boy. His name is Gollum and he's 1.5 y/o. Although he sleeps most of the day, I love being able to go take cat naps with him and share all my love and affection.

It was an adjustment for him at first, but now he's waking up throughout the day and joining me at my computer. Sometimes even typing on my behalf and making appearances on my work calls.


How are you? And how are your babes doing during this pandemic??

Awe! Very cute. We're really lucky to have them as our companions during this global crisis.

Tis the season! Winter is coming, cue the heated beds!

Started snowing a bit here in Montreal! :oops:

What a cute assistant you have. Mine mostly ignore me when I work. But Toa does love to surprise me by jumping on my shoulder when I'm in a conference call.

They say "thanks, we know". Gollum is a little sweetheart too. Glad he's getting used to the new routine.

Well I'm home all the time anyway, no "work" for me right now. However, since moving here... all three of mine are constantly vying for my attention.
They are asleep atm. The fire is on and everyone is zonked out on the sofa.
But when I sat down earlier, Pixie came for snuggles and held on to my arm while I was watching TV -- with Livvy on my lap.
Jezzy -- the one cat who took forever to even acknowledge me, let alone cuddle -- demands (DEMANDS) morning snuggles. At least half hour of proper cuddles, or she'll climb all over me until she gets what she wants.
When I go outside, Jezzy will often sit at the bathroom window if it's open, and yell until I pay attention to her. Or sit on the roof and holler. Pixie too.
Pixie also goes for walks with me when it's warm. :)
They turned into a very needy brigade!

This is what it was like while I was typing the reply... Pixie needed snuggles lol
I set her down now, because my arm was falling off!

They're so lucky to have you and each other.

I'm thinking of maybe adopting a brother/sister for Gollum. I feel like he could use a companion. He's just 1.5 y/o, so I figure the younger he is when I adopt another baby, the better.

I’m retired so I’m not working from home but I AM home more now. Especially since numbers are going up again. I don’t linger in stores when I go. I head straight to what I need and leave again. My kitty sleeps a good part of the day. When she’s awake she likes to watch the birds at the bird feeder or play with her toys with me! Although I chase them more than she does lol! Then in the evening she cuddles while I watch t.v. They definitely are the best pets to have during a pandemic.

Yeah, it's really crazy the numbers we're all experiencing, globally, with COVID. It's worst than the first wave.
Glad that you're staying safe though!

Hahaha! I had to order more toys for Gollum. But partly felt it was a dopamine release for me too :ROFLMAO:.

I also work from home many days and have three nekkids. They too like the conference calls from the kitchen table and sometimes treat my colleagues with a close up of the butt! Mostly they keep me company, sleeping around the kitchen on heat blankets but some days they fly around like monkeys. That's when I miss being at the office...

haha the butt closeup is always cheeky. but all sounds so sweet

i’m sure we will miss them once we’re back in the office. i definitely started to have separation anxiety when i leave the house for a few hours.
