YAY! AHHHHHHHH!
Ok so none of my real life friends give a rats arse but I'm so excited
This might be long but here is the background...we're doing CitiKitty- it's kind of like Litter Quitter, which I noticed a lot of people here have tried...but to me, the steps looked more gradual so I went with that one. Vince came to us pee trained on the toilet already...his previous mommy said she thinks it is because he wasn't a big fan of the "traffic" at the litterboxes (he was a king- she bred him for a few years and I assume lots of learning kittens in and out of the litter annoyed him? lol)...and she caught him going in the sink a few times and would just set him on the toilet, he took right to it in about a week.
WELL he did not take right to pooping on it lol. He did fine with the litter in there, but as soon as I poked a ring out he wanted to poop in my sink
So I filled it with water, which sent him to the bathtub, so I filled IT with water...and he'd jump in and poop right in the water...
Even if it had been in there all night and was freezing!
Last night, on a whim I got some of that scratch deterrent spray they have at walmart(smartykat i think is the brand). It has lemon oil and eucalyptus and nothing that can hurt them. I think it smells great, Vince apparently does not
Soaked the entire bathroom, every inch of it including the floor, except for the toilet- with enzyme cleaner, let it dry, then sprayed it down with the no scratch spray, and then sprayed the toilet with some of that catnip mist. I took the stupid CitiKitty off completely.
Woke up this morning to half a tootsie roll on the seat and a bunch in the toilet!
I was so excited it was all I could do to resist grabbing him out of bed for a treat <3 Now if only he'd keep it up! I figured maybe this would work for someone else so it couldn't hurt to overshare
