It's good that you stay in contact with them, but I'm glad she went to somebody willing to put her first especially to help her lose weight. I love when previous owners tell them happy birthday, it's always a good feeling.

That is always great to hear. I know how you feel my furry boy kitty was actually to the point you could feel his bones when I rescued him 4 years ago. He has become the main little man in my life and I couldn't see my life without him. He's now happy and healthy, it's such a great feeling when you know that you helped do that, and I know Violet loves you just as much as you love her. I'm glad they knew they could give her a better life, and I'm so very glad it's with you. She definitely seems like a happy, healthy little princess now.Yes, I love hearing from them and I have shared mile stones with them and lots of pictures. They loved her enough to know that they weren't putting her first as they should have. We talked for a week before she came to us so I knew a great deal about her and the situation so we were both conferrable. She is a amazing kitty and I have to say she has found a very special place in my heart. We have a VERY close bond. I have never had a bond with any animal like I have with my 4 Sphynx but my bond with Violet is totally different.
That is a magnificent turn around, especially for an advanced kitty. I'll have to keep that in mind when people bemoan their shortcomings, complaining that they're "too old" to improve. It takes work; we just need self-discipline and control.No worries I am always happy to talk about Violet
