As the others said, some bleeding from the tubes is normal. That is why they are there. Yes, they do look very strange!!

As far as the fighting... talk to your vet. Perhaps ask about Feliway diffusers. I have not used them personally but I know people they work wonders for.

Give Alice a big kiss!

The area looks a bit swollen now! I'm scared. But she's only had three antibiotic doses so that's normal right? I know I worry too much but I don't want to miss something important!

I'm just like you when it comes to my baby... I'm like a psycho!! But I'm sure some swelling is normal as the infection does not go away that fast. If it looks any worse in the morning, I would call your vet. Does she seem to be in pain?

Yeah. And I drove to the emergency clinic and freaked out. They checked her, took out the drains and said she's fine. I think they thought I was insane....but at least she's okay!

Who cares what they thought?? You did what you needed to do for your baby... and now you can both sleep better.... Glad Alice is healing and hopes she continues to get well quick!

Thanks! She's running aroundish this morning, I don't know if I can remove her cone yet and I don't dare call to ask. So I'm taking it off for a while so she can eat and groom her face. Then it can go back on. She seems happy not to have the drains. Not as happy that I have to clean the holes with a hot washcloth.

I'm sure Alice is SO appreciative of her mommy taking such good care of her!!

Better. Very attached to me, more so than before. She and Dita are still seperated since I can't think of any other way for this to work. Alice STILL refuses to get along. She's all healed though so now it's just her pride that's hurt.

Snuffie is very attached to me since we brought SoBe home. When SoBe came Snuffie hogged all her food (which was of a different kind) and Snuffie fell very ill, took me 4 days of forcing fluids and baby food to get her back on track, she even had a seizure that scared the ever living day lights out of me. Since that time she is always at my side day and night. I think once you go through a time like that it causing additional bonding, they know they can trust you and what not.

It may have been mentioned but have you tried the Feliway defusers and sprays?

I've wanted to try them but $50 bucks is a lot of money for a college student so I'm still waiting to have the money to be able to try them. I'm hoping when I eventually get them, that they will help.

I totally get the money thing. I hate money, why can't it all just be free! lol

I'm not sure if its available to you or not but one thing that has certainly helped me this year is I found out that my bank offers a reward program on my debit card. I logged into the site and found out I had over 7000 points and was able to purchase pet products with my points. I ended up being able to get the girls the drinking fountain that spouts out water for them and they also had those diffusers and sprays. Might be worth looking into because I guess my bank has always done this and I didn't even know about it!

I checked their website, and it didn't show anything.......I'll have to check around and see who does. That could be worth looking into. Thanks.

I get the money thing, too. Money is always tight this time of year. I am lucky to work at an animal hospital to get discounts for Niles care. It is very helpful!

Feliways are expensive, but so you know they do have a rabate form. I think when you buy a diffuser and a refill you gt some money back. PM me your address and I will mail you a rebate form so you have it.

I need to look into my banks reward program too. I hear my banks is good, but you need to run the card as credit, which isn't bad actually. Thanks for the reminder Christina, I will look into it!
