Raphael had her echocardiogram appointment this morning. She did well with the help of drugs to keep her relaxed.

I asked if I could go in and they said yes. It was super interesting watching the screen and seeing her heart. I didn’t know what I was looking at but I was able to ask questions. They also do a recording of the heart. My vet will get a full report when the cardiologist has had a chance to look at everything. I was able to pet her ears and look her in the eyes while the assistant to the technician held her down. She basically looked like a rodeo cow with her legs being held together lol. She squirmed a bit but the assistant had a pretty good hold on her. Firm yet gentle.

A few things the technician said while doing the exam….there was no fluid around the heart and no blood clots. He also said that it looked good enough that we might not have to do this for another year instead of six months but he was quick to say it also depends on what the Cardiologist says. He pointed to a part of the heart and said “there is the culprit” but I didn’t know what I was looking at.

We are home now, cuddling and relaxing. I am doing the best I can as a pet parent and will love her every day and enjoy our moments together.

Have been looking for update. I agree very interesting seeing them scan and yet have no idea of what I am looking at. Our vet allowed me in for years, but when moved to new practice they have another cardiologist in and he doesn’t allow people in now. The culprit is probably the thickened spot that has been there…but that can stay stable for a long time/forever. So hold tight and be hopeful with us and I will be looking for the update. You got this! Love that baby girl up and give her a kiss for me.

I am able to go in to the cardiologist with them it is interesting to watch. Our first cardiologist didn't let me go in but the technician loved Agnes. She has since moved to another practice in NJ and a bit too far to travel with.

Hoping for stable results will be looking for updates. In the meantime just love on her as much as possible.
