So, I am likely bringing my boy home on Saturday (10 weeks old) and will be bringing him to a vet. However, I would like to find a vet that is more familiar w/ sphynx as they are so unique in so many ways; I just want someone who will fully understand him if any issues should arise. How do I go about finding a vet that is familiar with sphynx without having to call every vet in the area and ask. Most are likely to say "oh, yes..we are familiar with any type of cat" yada, yada, yada.. I am not sure if I am allowed to ask for referrals/suggestions for vets in my area, but I am in IL (Northwest Suburbs), Palatine if so.
