Just wanted to share the update photo of Frida's leg and foot. I just took the cone off for the photo so you guys could see the difference between the feet. The foot in front is the one that was injured. It is hard to see the difference now that the swelling is down. She still favours it when she walks but it isn't as painful as before.

It looks a lot different, than, the pic you shared, when, her cast was
first off. Looks great. I know Frida and you both are feeling better.

I hadn't been on the lair in a few months, and I spent the last hour or so caching up on Frida's journey! Goodness you and she have been through a lot! I am so glad to hear she is doing better! That splint was HUGE! she loomed so pitiful in some of those pictures, the poor thing!

I am happy to read she is on the mend!

@Hairless Blessing it does look so different! You should have seen it the next morning after the splint came off. It was huge. I didn't think to take a pic because I was in such a panic.
@Catzzzmeow isn't it just the best?! I can't wait until she can have the cone off all the time. Unfortunately she is dying to lick that paw. Sorry Frida you will have to put up with the itchiness.
@SphynxKid gosh I guess it was a lot of material to get through! It certainly had been a journey. Hopefully Frida's experience will eventually help another lairian at the very least. I couldn't find a thing online about aftercare when a splint comes off. My vet told me I would have to keep her quiet but the description just didn't tell me how far from over this all is. It will still be a few weeks of confinement and restricted exercise for Frida, and at least 1 more week with the cone. It has definitely not been the easiest, but I love my little rascal and would do anything for her.

Hey everyone. So just wanted to update everyone with the Frida scoop. I chatted on the phone with my vet today. She was really happy to hear that Frida is now walking around almost like normal and that her foot is looking completely normal again. She gave me the ok to start with some play throughout the day in short increments. This is great because Frida gets really hyper in the evening and I think some play throughout the day will keep her calmer overall. After about a week of that I can start to let her out around the house again while supervised, and on the third week she should be at normal activity again! Yay ! My vet said unless I have concerns we won't have to do a follow up as she doesn't think that there will be anything to be learned from the X-Ray. So hopefully everything continues to be awesome and we will have normal Frida updates in no time. Thanks everyone for being so great through all this. It has meant the world to me.
