@Xandria , Batman has taken over the jeep! Created a monster !
Duke is too Old to safely get up the ramp into the jeep so we play here in the sanctuary as we call it ;)
He enjoys the garden and jolly ball shaking- his ole bones just can't fetch far :)

Each day a blessing- he is napping at my feet right now -
Such a good boy my MarmaDuke :)

Well you have a very pretty yard from what I can tell. So good that he still gets around the way he does! He sure loves your family and vice versa.

Today is a good day :)
"MarmaDuke" hung with us this morning in the garage while we built a new laundry center-
Then Duke watched Jimmy leave to go back to his store

Now he is inside with me for a nappy nap :)

Spending quality time with my "Marmaduke" at my feet - after a shorter stroll out in the garden..

I just learned the creator of the comic strip "Marmaduke" recently passed ..
'Marmaduke' Creator Dies At 91

I used to read it all the time ... It was about a Great Dane but always reminded me of my silly Duke - that is how I gave him his nickname-

Our last evening stroll in the garden in this world together :(
Tomorrow afternoon at 130 pm my Ole Marmaduke will fly free on his wings to the bridge world...
Free from the pain of bone cancer

We are celebrating life with his fav rotisserie chicken and savoring each golden moment quietly together reflecting on the amazing journey together. He is the last of my Old crew and I know his friends will be awaiting his arrival at the bridge ... They will run and play pain free and whole until we meet again

I promised Duke my love forever and ever the day he came into my life ...

"Don't cry because it is over... Smile because it happened"

Phew... It hurts sooo much

You have a community behind you and many to PM for added support. Put me at the top of the list. Duke you are loved...and as @susi794 always says...that is everything. Sweet dreams sweet boy.

I'm so sorry to read this. I know how much it hurts right now. You were blessed with Duke's love and he was blessed with your love.
Duke is such a beautiful and great dog. I know you'll remember all the good days you had with him and I know think about all these moments will make you smile and cry at the same time. Sending you a big hug!

I am so terribly sorry for your heartache and sorrow. I know how much it hurts. Thank you for giving sweet Duke the only gift you had left to give him.....to gently pass from this life to the next surrounded by his family who love him more than anything. You loved him well...please know that he knew it and will carry it in his soul forever. And I believe you will see him again someday, waiting at the gate, wagging his tail, anxious to be once again by your side, when it is your time to go home. Just like Patti told you...it IS what I always say....and I believe it is a powerful truth. It is the only thing that survives. Thank you for loving Duke, because for this sweet boy who served you well, that is everything.
I wish I could make the hole in your heart heal, but I know I cannot. Please know we all get it and will be here when you need us.
